Dynasty Rankings Updates: 2/13/23 – Kadarius Toney, Jimmy Garoppolo, Sam Howell

Dynasty Rankings Updates: 2/13/23

Kadarius Toney, Chiefs
Age: 24
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 90
Updated Rank: 78
Toney was the x-factor in the Super Bowl, returning a crucial 65 yard punt late in the game and catching a 5-yard score. It was his only target on the night, but Toney’s playmaking ability was evident. With arguably the best QB in the league under center and an aging Travis Kelce as his only serious competition for targets, Toney is poised to become the next Tyreek Hill, or first Kadarius Toney, in KC – That is, if he can stay healthy.

Jimmy Garoppolo, 49ers
Age: 32
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 209
Updated Rank: 182
Garoppolo won’t be with the 49ers in 2023, but it’s likely he’ll be a starter elsewhere. Garoppolo is little more than a game manager at this point in his career, or any really, but he’s proven to be fairly reliable if he has decent tools to work with. The Texans(they just hired the 49ers former passing game coordinator), Jets, Titans, Raiders and Buccaneers will all be in the running to procure his services this off-season. The fact that Garoppolo will be a starter this season gives him a bump in the rankings.

Sam Howell, Commanders
Age: 22
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 205
Updated Rank: 200
The Commanders have named Howell QB1 heading into the off-season. Carson Wentz is likely to be released and Taylor Heinicke will be a free agent who could be brought back, but it would be in a backup role. Washington could go out and sign a veteran QB to come in and leapfrog Howell, or draft another QB, but for now, Howell is in the driver’s seat. He apparently showed enough in his Week 17 start this past season to convince HC Ron Rivera that he’s starting material. Howell was at one point, and should have ended up our All Senior Bowl pick for QB in 2022, but the Malik Willis hype train derailed him. He was the best looking QB there, and I think he’s the frontrunner to keep the job in Washington.

  1. You Gus have no idea how much I’m loving all this early season Dynasty content!

I’ve been getting multiple offers for Swift, and this is the best that I’ve gotten. But it drains all of my remaining 2024 draft cap and losing Love stings. Unless you guys know differently.

12 team Full PPR SF TEP

    Give: Swift, Love, 2 2024 1sts

    Get: Kyler, Doubs, 2023 1.03, 2023 1.12

    QB: Herbert, Love, Howell, Trask

WR: AJB, Pittman, G Wilson, London, Dotson, Burks, Pierce, Hodgins, Tolbert, Bateman

RB: Walker, Etienne, Swift, R White, J Cook, Strong

    TE: Dulcich, Bellinger, Otton, Woods

    Draft cap: 2.04, 2.12, 2 2024 1sts

    1. I like having Herbert love and Howell and don’t love giving up all my 2024 ammo but those two 2023 firsts looks pretty awesome and having Herbert + Kyler feels pretty nuclear. You have a really strong team, and I think the trade is fine.

      1. Thanks for the input Alex, love it. I’ve been head over heels smitten for Marvin Harrison Jr forever and hate parting with the potential to get him next year. But there’s always the possibility of jumping back into the 2024 1st.

Would it be a better move to only part with one 2024 1st and get back the 2023 1.07? All players stay.

        1. can you lay out the exact deal as proposed?
