Carson Wentz
Age: 30
Movement: Falling
Previous Rank QB23
Updated Rank QB32
Wentz is unlikely to return to the Colts, as his $15 million salary becomes fully guaranteed in March, and no one in the organization, whether it be his owner, GM, or coach has bought into the idea of keeping the uncompromising QB. Many around the organization believe that his refusal to get vaccinated, which led to him missing valuable prep time for a critical matchup with the Raiders, is a major factor in the team moving on. It’s going to be a tricky task to get another team to take on Wentz’s contract, but it must be done. Wherever he lands, Wentz isn’t likely to have a RB of Jonathan Taylor‘s caliber to buoy the offense, and there’s also a possibility that he just becomes a highly paid backup at his next stop. At age 30 and with a reputation for being difficult that isn’t mitigated by his on-field skills, Wentz doesn’t have a bright dynasty future.

Antonio Gibson
Age: 24
Movement: Falling
Previous Rank RB9
Updated Rank RB12
Gibson’s upside was limited last season due to the prodigious usage of Jd Mckissic as a pass-catching option in the Washington backfield, and the Commanders have recently indicated that they’re planning on re-signing McKissic for the 2022 season in addition to signing another back who could fill in for Gibson on early downs. Gibson has all of the talent in the world, but persistent injury concerns plague his long term upside. McKissic’s involvement was already stifling for Gibson’s fantasy outlook, but adding another back to the mix would only cap his ceiling further.

Kenyan Drake
Age: 28
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank Unranked
Updated Rank RB61
New Raiders HC Josh McDaniels is known for implementing the screen game in his offense – Almost 10% of New England’s yardage was accounted for by screen passes in 2021, the 11th highest mark in the league. Comparatively, only 5% of the Raiders’ yards were from screens last season. The emphasis on screens would be a boon for Drake, who is signed through 2022 and commanded a 10% target share for the Raiders before an ankle injury ended his 2021 season prematurely. Drake is 28, old for a RB, but this potential trend in action warrants his entry into the dynasty rankings, where he becomes RB61 for the time being.
