Dynasty Rankings Updates: 4/17/23 – Sam Howell, Odell Beckham Jr., Greg Dulcich

Dynasty Rankings Update: 4/17/23

Sam Howell
Age: 22
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 211
Updated Rank: 184
Howell was my de facto no.1 QB coming out of the 2022 Senior Bowl, but his shine was eclipsed by the Malik Willis hype train. Jacoby Brissett was added to the Commanders this off-season, but the general consensus is that the team will build around Howell with their 2023 draft picks. Howell was serviceable – in real life – in his one start last season, a win against the hated Cowboys, throwing 1 TD and 1 INt on 169 yards passing. Howell is calm under pressure and can make all the throws necessary to become a competent NFL QB. With a plethora of offensive weapons at his disposal, and more to come, Howell’s arrow is up.

Odell Beckham
Age: 31
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 179
Updated Rank: 171
Beckham was added to the Ravens on an $15 million dollar deal, supposedly to entice Lamar Jackson to stay in Baltimore. Though that may be the case, it’s still an uncertainty, and the Ravens may have a new signal caller come September. For that reason, and the fact that Beckham is 31 and coming off an ACL injury , the boost he gets in the rankings is a fairly mild one. Also, Baltimore has also shown to rarely enable more than two pass-catchers to fantasy relevancy, and Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman are already on the roster. Still, if Beckham is truly healthy, he has a shot to be the no.1 WR in an offense that claims to be committed to opening up the passing game.

Greg Dulcich
Age: 23
Movement: Falling
Previous Rank: 111
Updated Rank: 116
Dulcich was arguably our favorite TE to enter the league last year, and by most accounts his rookie campaign was a successful one(33/411/2), especially when you consider that it’s not until year 3 that a TE finds his footing. The rub comes from new HC Sean Payton, who alleged it was hard to evaluate Dulcich’s performance on the season, adding the ever cryptic “We’ll see” to his statement. It doesn’t matter how much we like Dulcich. Sean Payton has to like him more, and if he doesn’t, the Broncos may look to address the TE position in the draft. I still have faith in Dulcich, but the unwanted news drops him a bit in the rankings.

As a Bronco fan, I will be pissed if we draft another TE. We have shit for picks, Dulcich is a stud.

    1. I think it would be idiotic too.
