Dynasty Rankings Updates (6/12/23): Alexander Mattison, Justyn Ross, Darren Waller

Dynasty Rankings Update: 6/12/23

Alexander Mattison
Age: 25
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 164
Updated Rank: 65
The Vikings are parting ways with Dalvin Cook, leaving Mattison to man the Vikings backfield, along with rookie DeWayne McBride, Kene Nwangwu and Ty Chandler. Those other backs have an outside shot of getting consistent playing time, but Mattison is in line to get the bulk of backfield touches from here on out. Unless the Vikings bring in another veteran, Mattison is an RB2 at worst and a volume based RB1 otherwise.

Darren Waller
Age: 31
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 131
Updated Rank: 127
The Giants have a convoluted WR corps right now, but who’s at the top of that totem might not even matter come season’s start, as Waller appears to be the de facto no.1 receiver for the Giants thus far in camp. He’s a bit long in the tooth at 31, but Waller is still a force to be reckoned with in the open field and the end zone. Both HC Brian Daboll(formerly of New England) and OC Mike Kafka(formerly of Kansas CIty) have experience with a TE as their top pass-catcher, and Saquon Barkley was the Giants target leader(76) last season, so it’s completely within the realm of possibility that Waller leads the way in 2023.

Justyn Ross
Age: 23
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: unranked
Updated Rank: 250
Ross missed all of 2022 recovering from a foot injury, but the 2nd year WR is now healthy and turning heads in camp. He’s gained the admiration from the likes of Travis Kelce and his QB Patrick Mahomes, who trusts Ross to go up and get the ball downfield. With the depth chart wide open behind Kadarius Toney, Ross is a sneaky contender to become a consistent fantasy contributor in his first full season.
