Dynasty Rankings Updates (7/24/23): Mike Gesicki, Deandre Hopkins, Clayton Tune

Dynasty Rankings Update: 7/24/23

Mike Gesicki, TE Patriots
Age: 28
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 234
Updated Rank: 213
The Pats are said to view Gesicki as a WR as much as they do a TE, and they might need to, considering the dearth of options at receiver. During OC Bill O’Brien’s first stint with New England, the Pats ran two TE sets regularly, and they’re running it back with him so it’s likely we’ll see this formation again. Both Hunter Henry and Gesicki make for weekly streamers, but Gesicki is a nose ahead as far as fantasy outlooks go. His big play ability puts him in the lead.

DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Titans
Age: 31
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 89
Updated Rank: 87
Hopkins gets a baby bump for now based on him moving from free agency to the Titans. We could see him creep up in the ensuing weeks, but his advanced age keeps him tethered for now. He immediately steps into the no.1 WR role in Tennessee, and the passing game will funnel through Nuk despite it being somewhat underwhelming overall. Outside of Treylon Burks and Chig Okwonkwo, there are few viable receiving options, so Hopkins should see close to double-digit targets weekly.

Clayton Tune, QB Cardinals
Age: 24
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: unranked
Updated Rank: 250
Tune is being talked up as the next Brock Purdy by some around Cardinals camp, lauding his ability to run the team’s offense efficiently. That’s an unrealistic comparison to say the least, but it certainly puts Tune in contention to start the season as Arizona’s play caller, as Kyler Murray is highly unlikely to be ready by then and Colt McCoy is old and recuperating from neck surgery. If nothing else, Tune needs to be on our radars in dynasty and otherwise.

    1. V1.0 is now up and is being tweaked to 1.1 by this weekend. There are some structural changes we’re having to make as we get new ADP sources in, but the sheet is live!
