Tyler Badie, Ravens
Age: 23
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank RB57
Updated Rank RB55
My main reason for boosting Badie in the rankings is the inactivity of the other main cogs in the Baltimore backfield committee. JK Dobbins is “unlikely” to play this preseason, according to the Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiak, and Dobbins is already over 10 months past his knee injury. Gus Edwards has yet to get on the field in any real capacity either, but at least he’s slated to get approval to do so at some point this offseason. This leaves Badie to get reps and prime himself for at least a 3rd down role in an offense that is gearing up to be as run-heavy as ever. I saw Badie work at the Senior Bowl, and he was busy as an in-between the tackles runner as much if not more than as a pass-catcher. At this moment in time Badie is the healthiest and most capable back on the most run-heavy team in the league, and he deserves a bump for that.

Brian Robinson, Commanders
Age: 23
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank RB60
Updated Rank RB50
Robinson is being talked up as a potential “thunder” compliment to Antonio Gibson‘s “lightning” in the mode of HC Ron Rivera’s backfield during much of his tenure in Carolina, when he had DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart at his disposal. This arrangement may include Robinson as a primary goal line and short-yardage option, as he’s projected to be more of a hard-nose, in-between the tackles runner. If Robinson is really to be used as a 1B to Gibson’s 1A, he needs a nudge in the rankings.

Kirk Cousins, Vikings
Age: 29
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank QB26
Updated Rank QB24
It pains me to elevate Cousins any higher than I have to in the rankings, but with every indication that Minnesota will be going pass-heavy on account of new HC and former Rams OC Kevin O’Connell, I have to move him up the ranks a bit. With Justin Jefferson as his version of Cooper Kupp, Cousins is in line to put up career numbers in the area of 4,500 yards and 40+ TDs. That kind of action would make him a QB1.
