Dynasty Rankings Updates: JK Dobbins, Parris Campbell, Sony Michel
Dynasty Rankings Update: 6/27/23
JK Dobbins, RB
Age: 25
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 66
Updated Rank: 59
Dobbins’ fantasy outlook was already promising going into the 2023 season, but in new OC Todd Monkin’s updated offense, he should have an even larger role this year. Monkin has noticeably sped up the offense, involving the Ravens RBs more in the receiving game and at the goal line, two improvements that will bolster Dobbins’ fantasy appeal. He is currently being drafted as an RB2, but Dobbins could easily surpass his current outlook, and as such, he deserves a bump in our rankings.
Parris Campbell, WR
Age: 26
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 180
Updated Rank: 170
Campbell languished in fantasy no man’s land for his first 3 years in the league, plagued by nagging injuries. It wasn’t until last year, year 4, that he finally started to show the promise that we saw in him as a prospect, catching 63 balls for 623 yards and 3 TDs as Indy’s slot WR. Now a Giant, Campbell has been turning heads in OTAs, leading all New York WRs in receptions in 7 on 7 drills. With Wan’Dale Robinson still recovering from a torn ACL and Jalin Hyatt displaying his rawness running with the 3rd team, Campbell is primed to play over his fantasy head this season.
Sony Michel, RB
Age: 28
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: unranked
Updated Rank: 250
Michel just keeps finding landing spots on NFL backfields, weak ones mostly, including his new team the Rams. Kyren Williams and rookie Zach Evans are shaky backups to a largely unimpressive Cam Akers, and Michel’s signing is just another indicator that the Rams aren’t as comfortable with their backfield situation as they say they are. Michel’s role could be negligible, but there’s room for him to eat up touches should his competitors falter, especially as a pass-catcher. He’s in the last spot on the rankings, but Michel deserved some consideration.
