Dynasty Rankings Updates – Pierre Strong, Breece Hall, Randall Cobb

Dynasty Rankings Update: 9/4/23

Pierre Strong, Browns
Age: 23
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 188
Updated Rank: 185
Strong was languishing in obscurity in New England behind Rhamondre Stevenson, and more recently Ezekiel Elliott, before being traded to the Browns. Strong is now the arguable favorite to take the no.2 RB role in Cleveland behind Nick Chubb, an enviable position for any backup – Jerome Ford is currently the backup, but he’s not healthy. Strong possesses 4.37 speed and could become a complement to Chubb that has standalone value.

Breece Hall, Jets
Age: 21
Movement: Falling
Previous Rank: 6
Updated Rank: 9
Hall has been rehabbing his ACL for some time now, and he could be looking at even more convalescence now that the Jets have Dalvin Cook at their disposal. The Jets stated this week that they’ll “be smart” with Hall in regards to his return to action, meaning that they’re in no hurry to get him back on the field, unless Cook is much less effective than advertised. Hall probably won’t be down for long, but his status is iffy enough to drop him a few notches in the rankings.

Randall Cobb, Jets
Age: 33
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: unranked
Updated Rank: 250
Cobb has somehow once again gone from camp body to starting slot receiver on an Aaron Rodgers led offense. Corey Davis’ sudden retirement probably played a role in Cobb’s comeuppance, and Mecole Hardman projects to be more of a gadget player than a permanent fixture. I don’t expect fantasy fireworks from Cobb, but he could provide weekly value as a PPR flex in deeper formats.
