NFL Comparison: Jeremy Maclin w/ a dash of Terrell Owens
Scouting Notes:
Nelson Agholor will be a dynamic WR2 – at minimum – in the NFL. He’s somewhat slippery like his Trojan predecessor Marqise Lee. But, we like Agholor’s hands and long-speed better. He’s also a much more physical player than Lee. Agholor is a willing and scrappy blocker in the running game. He plays tough for his size, and has terrific ability to run after the catch. Our NFL Comparison is a Jeremy Maclin x Terrell Owens man-child. More recent prospects with whom he shares some traits include, Odell Beckham and Amari Cooper. Agholor can play insider or out, and has real shake off of the line of scrimmage. He also possess lethal punt and kick return ability. We can make a strong argument he is the No. 2 WR in this class.
Fantasy Outlook:
Polished and coming out of a pro-style offense at USC, we expect Nelson Agholor to contribute immediately in the NFL. Not anticipating much beforehand, the list of names we came away with in our scouting notes from breaking down Agholor blew our minds. Historically, that’s been a big indicator of success for RosterWatch Nation. We love Nelson Agholor, and suspect he will be drafted early. He’s going to be a playmaker in the NFL, who will be worthy of a first-round pick in Dynasty Rookie Drafts, and roster consideration throughout the 2015 season in redraft leagues.
