Eric Decker
Eric Decker

At this point, Eric Decker should be a must start for many fantasy owners. If not that is likely a mistake. So far he has been the #1 in Denver. Yes, I do expect that to change some with the re-emergence of Brandon Lloyd but not a whole lot. I think there is plenty of production in that offense for both guys, I think Decker has made his mark, I think his style is a good compliment to Lloyd, and I think he is just flat out good.
The numbers: 8th in WR points, 21st in yardage and within only 50 yards of many of the elite guys, 4 TDs, 2 multi TD games
He has shown a good floor with a couple of 5 point games. I get less than that out of the top tier guys sometimes. He has also shown good upside with an 18 pt. game and a 21 pt. game. The Bronco’s schedule the rest of the way also looks very favorable.
Decker is pretty big at 6’3” 218 lbs so he has legitimate NFL size but his game reminds me a lot of Wes Welker. Not the old slot specialist Wes Welker but the 2011 Welker that can play inside and outside. He also has that Welker fast twitch quickness and phone booth explosiveness.
If there are still owners who are non-believers I would definitely target them with trades. Let them have some big name scrub while you take Decker to the bank.
