A few thoughts on Sunday’s contests:

-Rumors of Texans RB Arian Foster’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. He’s an RB1, I don’t care who you are. Fantasy “analysts” who said Foster should be drafted as an RB2 got some ‘splainin’ to do.

-Texans WR Andre Johnson is a target hound, but he just doesn’t get many end-zone looks. Temper your expectations.

-Seattle QB Russell Wilson doesn’t have to go big to win games…So he probably won’t go big that often.

-Colts TE Coby Fleener should be owned in all leagues.

-Colts WR T.Y. Hilton has been a disappointment this season. He’s getting targets but isn’t catching them. Health has been a concern, though, so don’t go dropping him just get.

WR sheet

MJD is on the verge of droppable. Don’t lose your season waiting for him to break out.

-Whatever defense is playing against the Jaguars on any given week should be in your lineup.

-Tampa Bay QB Mike Glennon doesn’t give his team a better chance to win– or score fantasy points.

-Right now, Andre Ellington looks the most promising of the Cardinals running backs, though that isn’t saying much.

– Pitt RB Le’Veon Bell looks borderline RB1. Congrats to those who held onto him.

– WR Jericho Cotchery looks like the Steeler version of Nate Washington. He will be a reliable weekly option.

– Let’s hope QB Matt Cassel keeps the Minnesota job. He breathed new life into the Vikings pass corps against the Steelers.

– I hate to admit it, but WR Jerome Simpson should probably be owned if Cassel stays put.

– Don’t let Dwayne Bowe’s TD fool you, he is not an important part of Kansas City’s offense. SELL, SELL, SELL.

– NY WR Hakeem Nicks may be healthy, but the Giants offense isn’t. He isn’t a consistent start.

– RB David Wilson— What can I say? You can’t play him, and you can’t trade him. The good news is, his schedule for the next 4 of 5 games is awesome.

– Bears QB Jay Cutler had 4 turnovers and still scored 20 points in standard leagues. Crazy.

– WR Alshon Jeffery is turning into a red-zone fixture for Cutler.

-Where was Detroit WR Ryan Broyles? Hopefully not in your lineup. I can’t explain his lack of looks.

– Cleveland QB Brian Hoyer looks like the real deal. Don’t be afraid to spot start him.

– I wouldn’t trade Jordan Cameron for Rob Gronkowski. Same skills, healthier body.

Andy Dalton hasn’t progressed as a quarterback, and that’s bad news for A.J. Green.

Bills QB E.J. Manuel has been an every-week fantasy play.

– If WR Robert Woods isn’t owned in your league, you should run to the waiver wire to stake a claim.

– You really can start Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller on the same roster and win.

– Washington RB Alfred Morris should be fine after their bye week, but you should pick up Roy Helu Jr. just in case.

Pierre Garcon is the only Redskins receiver you can count on. Don’t bother picking anyone else up.

Darren McFadden is great until he gets hurt. Well, he got hurt. Rashad Jennings is the backup to pick up.

Terrelle Pryor should be back for Oakland’s next contest, so TE Mychal Rivera will not be depended on as much, because Pryor can throw the ball farther than ten yards.

– Don’t get too excited about Justin Hunter, Kendall Wright, or Nate Washington because Ryan Fitzpatrick will be throwing to them for at least the next game or two. Fitzpeepee did hit Nasty Nate with a big late-game bomb, though.

– I had some hope for Titans RB Chris Johnson, but Jackie Battle had all the goal line work. When Shonn Greene gets back, he’ll be the one who gets the goal line work. Either way, Chris Johnson won’t get the goal line work.

– I feel more optimistic about Jets QB Geno Smith than I probably should after his performance against the Titans. He’s got guts.

– Jets RB Bilal Powell didn’t have a monster game, but no Jet did. I’d still rather have him than Chris Johnson right now.

– If you own Peyton Manning and aren’t 4-0, then you should just quit.

– Phew, Knowshon Moreno is still the back to own in Denver. I was worried.

– Next year, I’m only drafting Broncos receivers. No Joke.

– Someone has got to step in the receiver department for Philly besides DeSean Jackson. He’s going to see constant double coverage otherwise.

– RB Danny Woodhead finally has the role I imagined he would have before the season. He should be owned in all leagues.

– Just when I thought Dallas had a decent defense, San Diego had to walk all over them. Looks like it’s back to the ‘Boys of old.

Philip Rivers is a QB1 and should be starting for fantasy teams every week.

– With a neck injury to Pats WR Aaron Dobson, Kenbrell Thompkins should be picked up in every league.

– LeGarrette Blount just got lucky on that TD carry. I wouldn’t rush to pick him up.

– Now would be a great time to buy low on Roddy White.
