Final 2012 QB Rankings and Statistics

Some of the crazy numbers at the top of this list came down a bit from last year. We saw a major increase in scoring among the second and third-tier players, making the QB picture for next season a bit cloudy.

In 2012, it was:

The usual suspects at the top.

A new rookie superstar arriving on the scene just in time to outdo last year’s rookie superstar.

One preseason favorite disappointing, and one falling completely off the face of the Earth.

Three middle-tier quarterbacks we love showing up big, and the frowny one we hate blowing goats.

A couple of young veterans were leapfrogged by two very smart and talented rookies. Oh, and the two most pouty of all sunk like rocks.

* There are a variety of methods for scoring QBs. I tried to split the differences to make this fairly universal. 5 point passing touchdowns, 1 point/25 yards, turnovers -2, 1 point/10 yards rushing, 6 point rushing touchdowns, 2 point conversions
