Garbage Grab: Week 11

Garbage Grab: Week 11

Dorian “The Trashman” Colbert, RosterWatch.com

WOW…We blinked and the NFL season is more than halfway in the bag. . I’ve never seen a season move this quickly, but then I’ve never been so preoccupied with unearthing these unlikely weekend warriors on a weekly basis. I can’t recall time better spent though. Here are your Week 11 trashy treasures:

Darrius Heyward-Bey WR Raiders: Sure he’s been declared DOA coming off of two abysmal weeks, but WR Jacoby Ford will most likely sit this week, and “Hey-Bey” has a shot to make a difference again. It might be his last.

Damian Williams WR Titans: Say hello to the number one receiver, at least in our opinions,  in Tennessee. The guy has been the most explosive wide out for the Titans over the past few weeks, including 100 yds and a TD last week, yet somehow Williams’ recent efforts have gone largely unnoticed in the fantasy world as he is only owned in 26% of leagues. Don’t sleep on this one.

Joe McKnight RB Jets: With LaDainian Tomlinson out of the lineup tonight, look for McKnight to capitalize on the ten or so touches he’ll get against the Broncos.

Kregg Lumpkin RB Buccaneers: Tampa Bay will be playing from behind against the Packers. In catch up mode, Lumpkin is the guy.

Andre Caldwell/Andrew Hawkins WR Bengals: Jerome Simpson is probably owned in your league, but one of these two guys will have a good day in A.J. Green’s absence. I lean to Caldwell, but Hawkins shouldn’t be overlooked.

Vincent Brown WR Chargers: Owned in only 13% of leagues, Brown is making waves in San Diego coming off a 97 yd 1 TD game last week. Don’t wait for him to do it again before you roster him.

Delanie Walker TE 49ers: Walker led San Fran in targets last week with seven. Watch for him to continue to get good looks, as Harbaugh tries to ease a hobbled Frank Gore’s load.

John Skelton QB Cardinals: Kevin Kolb would be sweating if he wasn’t already rich. Skelton is 2-0 since taking the reigns in Arizona, and he’s looked good doing it. His toughest test will be this week against San Francisco, but their secondary is beatable and he will have to air it out.

New England Defense vs Kansas City: If this turns out like I think it will, back up Chiefs QB Tyler Palko will be watching most of this game from his back.
