Garbage Grab: Week 6
Garbage Grab: Week 6
Dorian “The Trashman” Colbert, Rosterwatch.com
Maybe it’s cause I’ve been paying more attention, but it seems as if more and more players are coming up lame in the NFL. It’s unfortunate, but there is a silver lining for the savvy waiver wire watcher. Let us help you with your week 6 rosters.
Brandon Gibson WR, Rams: With Danny Amendola gone, Gibson should see the most targets against the Dolphins. That number could be high, as Miami has the best run defense in the league.
La’Rod Stephens-Howling RB, Cardinals: William Powell is the hot pickup in Arizona right now, but in lean times, it’s been Stephens-Howling who has shown up for the Cardinals. Look for him to get involved in the passing game.
Eddie Royal WR, Chargers: Royal came up with a hamstring injury on Friday, but if he goes he could have a good day against his former Broncos.
John Kuhn RB, Packers: Everyone is wondering whether it will be Alex Green or James Stark as the new bell cow in Green Bay, but John Kuhn should be the guy on the goal line.
Lamar Miller RB, Dolphins: Daniel Thomas won’t play against the Rams, making Miller the immediate backup to Reggie Bush. He’ll get a chance to make an impact, but watch out for Jorvorskie Lane on the goal line.
Kevin Kolb QB, Cardinals: Yeah I know, it’s Kevin Kolb, but the Cards face Buffalo this weekend, and everyone has been teeing off on them as of late. He’s worth a look if your QB is on bye.
David Wilson RB, Giants: Now no running back has great games against the 49ers, but Wilson could have a serviceable one as Ahmad Bradshaw’s backup. The team wants to get him involved, and this could be the last you game you can pick him up for next to nothing.
Dustin Keller TE, Jets: He hasn’t played since week one, and the Jets offense is abysmal, but Keller could be the safety blanket that Matt Sanchez has been missing.
Nate Burleson WR, Lions: Titus Young still isn’t vulturing Burleson’s looks, and I have a feeling Detroit’s matchup with Philadelphia will be high scoring. He’s been sneaky valuable all season.
Donnie Avery WR, Colts: Avery didn’t produce much last week against the Packers, which may have gotten him dropped in a lot of leagues. I think it was just an off game though, and he’ll bounce back against the Jets. He still gets a ton of targets.
Minnesota DEF: This pick depends on whether RGIII plays or not. If he doesn’t, Minnesota should have a field day against Kirk Cousins and the ‘Skins.
