Garbage Grab: Week 7

Garbage Grab: Week 7
Dorian “The Trashman” Colbert, RosterWatch.com
It’s week seven, and by now you should have a pretty good idea of how your team is shaping up. That being the case, you know where you might need to take some chances. Here are a few guys who might be worth betting on this week.
Greg Little WR Browns: It boggles my mind that Little is owned in less than 30% of leagues right now. The beastly rookie is quickly becoming Colt McCoy’s favorite target in Cleveland, and was a slip short of having eighty yards and a touchdown on twelve targets last week. This week might be your last chance to get this guy for little to nothing.
Roy Helu RB Redskins: IMHO Helu is the most explosive runner in the ‘Skins’ backfield, and it’s only a matter of time before that becomes blatantly apparent. A great pass catcher, he can make an impact with only a handful of touches in that crowded running game.

Lance Kendricks TE Rams: The Cowboys, who the Rams are playing this week, give up the second most points to tight ends in the league which bodes well for the young Kendricks. Combine that with the fact that A.J. Feeley is stepping in for QB Sam Bradford, and is sure to need to check down early and often. Kendricks is coming off of a seventy-one yd effort against the Packers last week and should continue to be productive this week.

Arrelious Benn WR Buccaneers: Thoroughly inconsistent, but exceedingly talented, Benn is the definition of a boom or bust receiver. The main deep threat for the ‘Bucs thus far, Benn might just do you a solid if you plug him into your flex this week.

Christian Ponder QB Vikings: Ponder is as fresh as they get in the NFL, but he can’t do much worse than Donovan McNabb has been doing in Minnesota. It helps that the Vikes are playing the Packers and their bottom ranked pass defense. Ponder will have no choice but to throw a lot to keep up with Aaron Rodgers and the unbeatables.

Damian Williams WR Titans: Williams has all the tools to be a great receiver in the league, but has yet to put it all together. Up against the Texans beatable secondary this week,  he has the opportunity to cement himself as the No.2 receiver in Tennessee opposite Nate Washington.

Maurice Morris RB Lions: Morris looks to take the lion’s share of carries for Detroit this week in Jahvid Best’s stead. You could definitely do worse in your flex spot this week. Who knows? Best might be out for awhile, and this might stick.
