Jay Cutler’s Season in Jeopardy with Broken Thumb

Reports coming out of Chicago are that Jay Cutler suffered a broken thumb on his throwing hand in the 4th quarter of the Bear’s victory over San Diego. There is concern his season may be over.

If you own Cutler it’s time to start scouring your waiver wire for options (RW QB RANKINGS). Pending final medical prognosis, all Chicago receivers can be dropped. It’s not great news for Matt Forte but he is still a must start. The defense will have to pick up the slack as well.

This injury to Cutler also clouds the already competitive playoff picture in the NFC. It will be very challenging for the Bears to maintain wild card positioning down the stretch. Nobody likes to see an injury but fans in Atlanta, New York, Detroit, Green Bay, Dallas, and Philly don’t exactly mind this news.
