Matt Schaub Out Indefinitely.. Leinart In for Texans

If the playoffs started today, the Texans would be the 1 seed from the AFC and their QB would be Matt Leinart.

Matt Schaub suffered what the team thought was a minor ankle sprain in the 2nd Quarter of the Tampa Bay game and played through it. Today, tests revealed “significant damage” to his foot and he is out indefinitely. If it’s a lisfranc, that is real trouble.

They have a  bye coming up, and it is highly unusual to declare a player OUT for a game 2 weeks out unless there is a significant issue. More details to come, but our initial hunch is this could be bad for Schaub given how these events unfolded.
