Missed Connections: Highly Targeted Players in Week 13 That Didn’t End Up With Big Games
Missed Connections: Highly targeted players in week 13 that didn’t end up with big games

As we enter into the playoff gauntlet beginning with Week 14, it becomes even more pertinent that we make the most of our rosters. Here I’ve brought together a list of players who, though highly targeted in week 13, did not produce in a major way. This is an important to know for the fact that these guys may continue to get looks this week, and they may actually do something with them this time round.
Scott Chandler 6 targets: Chandler actually performed better than his 4.3 fantasy effort would indicate on Sunday, as he had 63 yards in the air but lost a fumble. Second on the team in targets, Chandler has the confidence of E.J. Manuel and a constant red-zone presence.
Garrett Graham 11 targets: If someone told me that Graham would see 11 targets and end up with only 36 yards, I’d tell you to shut your mouth, but that’s exactly what occurred on Sunday. Still. Keenum is facing more pressure these days, and Graham helps relieve a good amount of it. Keep running him out there, until Owen Daniels gets back.
LaVon Brazill 8 targets: The Colts stink right now, and it showed in Brazill’s, and every other receivers’, output on Sunday. Indy seems to be trying to find anything on offense that works though, and Brazill has shown promise. He should have more success this week against the Bengals.
David Nelson 8 targets: Nelson saw the most targets for the woebegone Jets, but only eeked out 37 yards in a losing effort. If his play for his former team Buffalo has shown us anything though it’s that he can be very productive, especially in the red-zone.
Marques Colston 7 targets: With 7 targets you might think Colston had a nice game, but the Seahawks made sure that no one outside of Jimmy Graham did anything worth talking about on Monday night. Colston has had a decent uptick in points as the season has progressed though, and merits consideration, even though the Saints are facing Carolina this week. I don’t see them stifling Drew Brees so exquisitely.
Chris Givens 9 targets: Givens led the Rams in looks in week 12, but they were playing the 49ers so it came out to very little. Givens had been a major disappointment this year, but with teams angling to stop Tavon Austin and Zac Stacy, he might actually have some value with his big play ability.
Pierre Garcon 12 targets: Garcon has been an enigma this season. His lack of consistent production is mind boggling until you notice that his QB has been very inconsistent as well. Garcon only gained 61 yards on his 12 looks on Sunday night, but I din’t see him whiffing again. Few players see as many targets as he does though, so keep rolling with him.
