PRO: RosterWatch Week 16 Matchup Tool

alex bylineWelcome back. This is a proprietary weekly tool provided by RosterWatch.

It is designed to be a decision-making tool for gauging the defensive opponents your fantasy players face. If you are new to this, our time-tested, most popular tool, the instructions couldn’t be simpler, and can be found below.

RW PRO users can download the matchup tool in the downloads section of their profile by clicking HERE.

INSTRUCTIONS:

To use the tool, think about your fantasy player.

Let’s say you own Jaguars QB Blake Bortles, and would like to see how he matches up against the defense he faces this week.

First, look at the Jaguars’ matchup for the week, and see what the number is inside the “vs. QBs” cell for the Jaguars’ OPPONENT.

(Bortles is a QB and you would like to know his opponent’s rank vs. that position.)

As you will see, the Jaguars are playing the Saints, who have a big, blue ‘No. 1’ in their “vs. QBs” cell. This is a great indicator for Bortles owners or those thinking of rostering him in DFS.

Repeat the same process for other players on your roster as you are trying to decide which players to start and sit in season-long leagues and which upside-plays to roster in DFS contests based on matchup.

“1″ is the best matchup, “32″ is the worst.

COLOR-CODES
(you like blue matchups best)

BLUE: Best Matchups
LIGHT BLUE: Borderline Top Matchups
LIGHT RED: Borderline Bottom Matchups
RED: Worst Matchups

The rankings represented here are derived via a proprietary algorithm which takes into account not only standard “fantasy points against” metrics from 2015, but also weighted averages and medians of separate individual player and defensive unit scouting grades for members of the 2015 unit that will be defending, pass-rushing, or covering against the position in question.

    1st
I’ve got david Johnson and latavius at RB. At WR I’ve got Aiken and Jeffery. I can replace anyone with denard Robinson. Who if any should denard replace?

    2nd-
one sits out of john brown, brandin cooks, Jarvis Landry, latavius, & denard? Who should sit? Also have karlos Williams in case you like him…

    1. It is ppr.

    2. David Johnson all day long and twice this weekend. Jeffery is made of glass and Kamar Aiken just puts up huge numbers. Denard is hurting and should be sitting. Denard should sit but I might sub Karlos Wiliams for Latavius. I love Latavius but Karlos Williams is going to be the bell cow in that offense especially with McCoy out.

    3. i’d replace jeffery even if he plays. he hasn’t done well when not fully healthy. i’d sit brown of that group. I love williams, but i’m not sure how he’ll split carries with gillislee.

  3. Huge week boys.. Kamar aikens or Lockett and McFadden or Denard robinson

    1. Also will tye or miller

        1. Zack

    2. aiken, and mcfadden. I like rob’s matchup, but i don’t trust his foot. could have a setback.

  4. Where are the rankings?

  5. Hopefully they post before tonights game!

  6. 1 pt PPR
    Allen Hurns
    or
    Markus Wheaton
Opponent is starting Roethlisberger and AB this week
    Thanks and Merry Christmas

  7. Not feeling great about Ivory & Miller after last week. Should I consider Robinson or White over one of those two? Standard League

    1. I would consider them over Ivory. He’s been losing too many carries to powell. Of the two Robinson has the better matchup, but could suffer a setback…
