NFL DRAFT AND FANTASY:Rookie Fantasy Prognosis: LaMichael James
Byron Lambert, Rosterwatch.com
An instant playmaker the minute he hit the field in Oregon, RB LaMichael James is an extremely explosive offensive weapon. In his three years as a Duck he averaged a prolific 1694 yards and 18 TDs as a feature back. James showed the ability to carry a full load in college, but is expected to be drafted as a complimentary back in the NFL. Interestingly enough, this is why I think he will have a major fantasy impact as a rookie. He will be given a niche, a set of plays designed and dedicated to him every game; and for LaMichael James all it takes is one touch. He could also be an instant contributor on kick returns.
NFL Comparison – Darren Sproles
Fantasy Projection- 583 return yards, 517 rushing yards, 264 receiving yards, 6 total TDs, 8.59 pts/game.
