RosterWatch Week 11 Matchup Tool Now Available

alex bylineWelcome back.

This is a proprietary weekly tool provided by RosterWatch for our PRO community.

It is designed to be a decision-making tool for gauging the defensive opponents your fantasy players face. If you are new to this, our time-tested and most popular flagship in-season tool, the instructions for use couldn’t be simpler, and can be found below.

RW PRO users can download the matchup tool (or access the online tool for use) in the downloads section of their profile by clicking HERE.

DO NOT RELY ON “FANTASY POINTS AGAINST” as your primary indicator for player matchups ever again. It is a flawed metric, as you’ll see, which will cause you heartache and struggle.

The rankings represented here are derived via a proprietary algorithm which takes into account not only traditional “fantasy points against” metrics (schedule-adjusted after 3 weeks of play), but also (and most importantly) weighted averages and medians of separate individual player and defensive-unit scouting grades for members of the 2022 unit that will be run-stopping, pass-rushing, or covering against the position in question, along with other analytic trends including projected game-script, game-flow/pace, sportsbook indicators, volume of total projected snaps and much, much, more.

INSTRUCTIONS:

To use the tool, think about your fantasy player.

Let’s say you roster 49ers TE George Kittle, and would like to see how he matches up against the defense he faces this week.

First, look down the list and find the 49ers (Kittle’s team). You will see that the 49ers’ opponent (OPP) is the Arizona Cardinals in Week 11, and there are four color-coded cells in the horizontal columns marked “OPP vs. QBs,” “OPP vs. RBs,” “OPP vs. WRs” and “OPP vs. TEs.”

These are the OPPONENT’S (in this case the CARDINALS’) OFFICIAL ROSTERWATCH MATCHUP RANKINGS AGAINST THESE GIVEN POSITIONS.

They are not the rankings for the 49ERS, but rather, for the OPPONENT THEY FACE IN THIS GIVEN WEEK (the CARDINALS). In the “OPP vs. TEs” cell for the Niners, you’ll notice a big, blue ‘No. 1’. This means that Kittle faces our best possible matchup for opposing TEs in Week 11 (the Cardinals). This is a great indicator for fantasy managers of Kittle, and is a positive sign for those thinking of rostering him in DFS contests.

Repeat the same process for other players on your roster as you are trying to decide which players to start and which to sit in season-long leagues. Also use it to identify which upside-plays to roster in DFS contests based on matchup.

With the launch of the online tool, you can now sort by any column: Vegas line, over/under, and matchup ranks vs. each position for easy reference. The Vegas lines are updated hourly for your reference and research. Please note that matchup ratings can change slightly through the week as lines and totals shift, or as injuries to key defensive personnel occur.

1 is the best (easiest) matchup, 32 is the worst (toughest).

  1. I have Pitts in a PPR
Available are Kmet, Moreau Tonyan LThomas JJohnson TMcBride
Finally leave Pitts behind and take one off the above TE instead?

    1. I still think Pitts gets the most targets of this group on a regular basis. Might add McBride or Kmet, but I wouldn’t drop Pitts

0.5 PPR need 1 WR and 1 flex.

    A Cooper, C Watson, Zeke, e Mitchell.

Leaning Watson and Mitchell? Cooper has been so bad in road games

    1. Yeah I lean that way too

  3. .5 PPR 3-7 redraft, 1 player keeper

Would you trade Davante Adams for Foreman, Olave, and either Pickens or Toney?

I’m trying to consolidate Davante after injuries in hopes of snagging the 7 spot in playoffs and making a run

    Qb: Kirk Cousins
    WR: Davante Adam’s
    WR: Peoples Jones
    RB: Aaron jones
    RB: Zeke
    Te: Dulcich
    Flex: Rachaad White
    Flex: Allen Robinson

    Bench
    Terrace Marshall
    Nico Collins
    Gerald Everett
    WanDale
    Aj Dillon
    Jaylen Warren

    1. ahh, It’s risky but at 3-7 you need to shake things up. I’d go for it

  4. 0.5ppr: Trade deadline this week. I’ve been offered Miles Sanders, Tyler Lockett, and Dak Prescott for my Jonathan Taylor and Michael Pittman. I guess it boils to rest of season outlook. Click accept or decline?

    1. Hard to say without knowing your record. or who else is on your team. In a vacuum, I’d say no. Taylor looks like he’s about to heat things up and Ryan’s back under center for Pittman.

    2. Do not make that trade. JT looks great again

  5. PPR Trade Keeper (7-3) :

    Sending Kupp for Godwin

1st round value for Kupp next year so I thought it might make sense to ship him off to win this year.

    1. great trade. You will be able to get a player you like just as much as Kupp in round 1 next year

  6. Drop Q – I may need a QB if Murray is unable to go. Here are my drop candidates – Metcalf, Toney, Sutton, or Aiyuk. Other WRs are lamb, chase and mike Williams. 1/2 pt PPR we can start up to 4wrs.
    Thanks

    1. Sutton is getting into droppable territory given your depth. Toney has a lower floor but the upside is big time.

0.5 PPR Trade offer. My Amari Cooper and dameon Pierce for dalvin cook and gus Edwards. Is that too much?

RBs: henry, Pierce, Zeke, jrob, mitchell
WRs: davante, Cooper, dk, Jeudy, c Watson, Samuel

    1. We like your side better. Hold

I picked up Isaiah Likely 3 weeks ago and traded him to the desperate Mark Andrews owner for Rachaad White.

Flipped White + Christian Kirk for Deandre Swift because I’m in a bad spot this week with byes (Seattle, Miami, and Tampa).

Bad move? Hoping for Swift upside down the stretch. White has round 14 keeper value so that’s part of my regret. (Although I do have Etienne and Kenny Walker in rounds 9 & 7).

    1. We are not as bullish on Swift right now. That could turn around, but see if you can move him on name value for a better option.

  9. Lost goedert.
Roll higbee or take the trade. Tua for kelce.
2qb league, currently have lamar and fields.

    1. Love the Tua for Kelce trade for you given your depth.

      Very smart play

  10. Hi guys, I feel like I need to try and level up and get a better player or try to get someone like Toney

I will listen to tradecast tonight

    ****’s 6-4

    Standard scoring
    Two 7-3 teams
Three 6-4 teams (my team breaks all ties in PF and PA I’m highest in both)
4 teams make finals, no byes

    1. Could you please suggest a level up trade target or two
    2. Should I try to trade Kemet for Toney while Kemet value appears high? Toney owner has Goddert and Fant
    3. In listening to the tradecast week 10 now

What are your top 5 RBs and top 5 WRs you would want to rely on for the stretch and playoffs?

    Fields, Geno
    Jefferson AJB DK Watson Samuel
    Barkley Pierce Pacheco Mitchell Gus
    Kemet Likely (Dulchich on WW)
    Dallas
    Tucker

Thank you very much for your help, I greatly appreciate it.

    M

    1. 1: A few players to target down the stretch if you can get them. Amon Ra, Tyreek while on the bye, Rashaad White, Pacheco, Pittman with Matt Ryan back ETN off the down week.

      2. Kmet is a sell high player, but what will you start at TE?

      1. I don’t think Andrews will play so I would start Likely

      2. I apologize! I Forgot to say thank you Alan, I really appreciate it!

I may need a push to stay in the playoffs hunt. Redraft League. I was offered Kamara and Gabe Davis for my Jamar Chase. My thinking is Chase may not be back week 12 as predicted, 2 Weeks of Gabe Davis and Kamara would ensure the playoffs. But would I be missing Chase’s production in the playoffs. Kamara would be replacing Michael Carter in my Flex and Gabe Davis would be part of (Play 3) Ceedee, Olave, Jeudy and Watson.

You guys are my #1 for SiriusXM listening. You need more air time.
Outlook question. I have TE Schultz and TE Knox on my roster because we have to have a backup for each position on our team roster limitations.
Should I drop one of those two and pick up Njoku?
