RosterWatch Week 12 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet and Podcast Now Available

Building a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

Need 2 wrs….Noah Brown, Ikene or Slayton?
Would you drop Mike Williams or DianteJ?
Would you drop a wr for Dowdle?

    1. Do you mean to start or to pick up? We haven’t run our ranking model yet, that will be tomorrow.
I would drop big mike over Diontae
I would drop a WR I couldn’t see myself using to pick up Dowdle, but obv. depends on the player

  2. What’s up RW Nation! Team Name – Ragnarok – Record 7-4 (3rd place), defending 2024 Champion… and the 8th seed is 5-6.
    Listened to the Wavier Wire Show, and am torn with what’s on my bench for a pick up this week. A Full PPR Squad that looks like;
    QB – Jayden Daniel’s + Russ Wilson
RB – Barkley, Henry, Kyren, Hunt
WR – Pickens, Dell, J-Mo, Coleman, Odunze, Doubs
    TE – Kmet
    K – Lutz
    D – Broncos

    Wire – QB – Nix
    – RB – Roschon, Corum, Jalen Wright
    – TE – T.Hill, J.Sanders, Schoonmaker, Theo Johnson
    – D – Washington, Tampa, Arizona

With Bye week 14 being a big one, I’d love to grab Nix but he is bye week (same as Daniel’s) my other thought is dump a WR for a D, but these end of season WR schedules have me second guessing as aside from the upcoming philly game (week 15), Pickens is the only auto start. The rest could work, but could also bust.
Long winded question, would love the thoughts, thanks gentlemen!

    1. I think the bench player I’d drop would be Doubs or Coleman. It’s fine to let either of those guys go for the pickup you need this week.

      1. Appreciate you Alex thank you

  3. 12-team PPR (5-6; 9th place)

    QB: R. Wilson
RB: Henry, Jav. Williams (Hall, Benson, B. Allen, R. Davis)
WR: AJB, Tillman (Higgins, W. Robinson)
    TE: Hockenson
    Flex: Evans, Waddle
    DEF: Broncos
    IR: Pacheco*

    Hey RosterWatch,

Tough loss last week—I went with Russ off waivers instead of Tua, and my opponent streamed Tua against me and won by a point. Now I’m in a 5-way tie at 5-6 but sitting in 9th place, with 3 teams at 6-5 ahead of me. Can’t afford any more losses!

Here are the available players on waivers:
QB: AR, Geno, Stafford, Darnold, Winston, Maye
    RB: Roschon Johnson, Abdullah, Laube
    WR: Pierce, N. Brown

Which QB should I target for this week and possibly ROS? And are any of the available players worth adding over my current roster?

    1. You say you can’t afford any more losses so I feel like it’s hard to recommend AR, but he is playing in a 50.5 point total this week. Look at the matchup tool, all the rest of the QBs you listed have terrible matchups in the upcoming week (outside of Russ but that game has a puny 36 point total). You need to think about a win this week and not ROS. All those guys will still be on waivers next week.

I’d drop Ray Davis for Roschon. Hopefully we get Pacheco back this week. If we do then I’d drop Benson or Wan’Dale to elevate him.

      1. Appreciate you Alex! Definitely nervous about AR since I started the year with him and he was a big reason for my bad record early on…

I would need to start one …. Ikene,Noah Brown or Slayton? Ppr ….have wilson and london on bye

  5. You’re drawing dead with this week’s wire.

    1. it’s the nut low, doc.

  6. All my RB’s are on bye this week.
I got Jonathan brooks and Gus Edward’s in ppr.
Should I drop either of them and grab Roschon Johnson?

I could also drop bears def as I also have Denver.

    What should be the move?

    1. always drop the defense before a flex player
