RosterWatch Week 15 Matchup Tool Now Available
Welcome back.
This is a proprietary weekly tool provided by RosterWatch for our PRO community.
It is designed to be a decision-making tool for gauging the defensive opponents your fantasy players face. If you are new to this, our time-tested and most popular flagship in-season tool, the instructions for use couldn’t be simpler, and can be found below.
DO NOT RELY ON “FANTASY POINTS AGAINST” as your primary indicator for player matchups ever again. It is a flawed metric, as you’ll see, which will cause you heartache and struggle.
The rankings represented here are derived via a proprietary algorithm which takes into account not only traditional “fantasy points against” metrics (schedule-adjusted after 3 weeks of play), but also (and most importantly) weighted averages and medians of separate individual player and defensive-unit scouting grades for members of the 2022 unit that will be run-stopping, pass-rushing, or covering against the position in question, along with other analytic trends including projected game-script, game-flow/pace, sportsbook indicators, volume of total projected snaps and much, much, more.
…
INSTRUCTIONS:
To use the tool, think about your fantasy player.
Let’s say you roster Colts WR Michael Pittman, and would like to see how he matches up against the defense he faces this week.
First, look down the list and find the Colts (Pittman’s team). You will see that the Colts’ opponent (OPP) is the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15, and there are four color-coded cells in the horizontal columns marked “OPP vs. QBs,” “OPP vs. RBs,” “OPP vs. WRs” and “OPP vs. TEs.”
These are the OPPONENT’S (in this case the VIKINGS’) OFFICIAL ROSTERWATCH MATCHUP RANKINGS AGAINST THESE GIVEN POSITIONS.
They are not the rankings for the COLTS, but rather, for the OPPONENT THEY FACE IN THIS GIVEN WEEK (the VIKINGS). In the “OPP vs. WRs” cell for the Colts, you’ll notice a big, blue ‘No. 1’. This means that Pittman faces our best possible matchup for opposing WRs in Week 15 (the Vikings). This is a great indicator for fantasy managers of Pittman and his fellow Indy wideouts, and is a positive sign for those thinking of rostering them in DFS contests.
Repeat the same process for other players on your roster as you are trying to decide which players to start and which to sit in season-long leagues. Also use it to identify which upside-plays to roster in DFS contests based on matchup.
With the launch of the online tool, you can now sort by any column: Vegas line, over/under, and matchup ranks vs. each position for easy reference. The Vegas lines are updated hourly for your reference and research. Please note that matchup ratings can change slightly through the week as lines and totals shift, or as injuries to key defensive personnel occur.
1 is the best (easiest) matchup, 32 is the worst (toughest).

Who is everyone picking up for the fantasy playoffs?
6 pt passing TD, half ppr league…
Watson or D. Jones @ QB ?
Starting Aaron Jones. Options for my RB2 are Walker, Stevenson, Strong, James Cook, or AJ Dillon?
We like Watson a bit more than D Jones.
AJ Dillon has a better matchup than Walker (vs San Fran) go with him. Hope it works out for you. Good luck!
In a PPR league I need to sit two of these guys
Z. Knight, K.Walker, A.Cooper, Hopkins,Higgins.
should I start Walker Thursday in case Higgins and Cooper are Out.
Also Dulcich or Waller if he plays
Walker’s matchup is not good, I would consider benching him along with Higgins
Good luck!
Your starters should be Knight Cooper Hopkins.
Need to pickup a WR on waivers tonight (ppr). I see London has been dropped and EMoore available. Preference? Thanks guys
Eli Moore is in a great spot this week, no Corey Davis. Go with him. Good luck!
Help! Half point. In my flex I need one of three. Higgins,Olave , or Cooper. Please and thank you.
Olve has to be auto start. good luck!
I lost iout on Waller and Engram.
So Im left with Kmet, Higbee and Okonkwo. Who would you guys go with.
Thanks RW.
Chiggy has that upside. Should be ranked as a top 5 TE this week. I’d play him over Andrews. Go for it brother
I got crazy decisions ahead for my 2 RB and 1 flex. Ekeler, Robinson Jr, Kenneth Walker, Donta Foreman, Swift, Zonova Knight and Devonta Smith. Standard league
Ekeler, Robinson, Zonovan
check out the other post We gave you a nice breakdown
Goff or d jones
Goff has that tough matchup vs the Jets but obviously has better weapons.
Goff
Full point PPR need two flex options please: D. Montgomery, Zeke, Gabe Davis, Elijah Moore, Driskel, or Kmet. Thank you!
Zeke and D-Mont are the sound plays. If you like Boom/Bust plays Gabe is your guy
