RosterWatch Week 16 Championship-Round Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet Now Available
For one last time in 2020 … Building a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.
Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.
All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.
*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

1) How close to final are the site rankings? I’ve got Brees (vs MIN) and Big Ben (vs. IND) but looks like I should be going after Hurts (@DAL) and/or Mayfield (@NYJ) on waivers his week? Tribusky (@JAC) and Tua (@LV) are also available so who should I roll out against my opponent’s Kyler Murray in the championship?!
2) Also what you guys thinking about Kittle (@ARI) this week? I dropped him last week to clear a spot for Brees unfortunately so I have to hope he clears waivers if I want to roster him again since Yahoo won’t let me make a claim but you think he’s playing and if so where would you rank him? I have Hunter Henry (vs DEN) but Hooper (@NYJ) is also on waivers.
Finish the job Renourka! Rankings are not finished. It’s difficult to recommend Kittle when Beathard will be the QB, but he’d certainly be TE1
Hey Byron! Thanks for all that you guys do. Looking for flex help. Marvin Jones jr, lev bell Henderson, and fournette are on the wire. What are your thoughts. I also have kittle and fant so I could flex our kittle as an option.

I have been a Rosterwatch member and loyal listener since, wow it seems like a real actual lifetime. It’s been over 15 years maybe you guys can look it up from my account profile. My passion for fantasy football and how I see and play the game has developed over 20+ years of playing and honestly every year it has evolved and the edge is more and more razor thin every year. But RW always stays ahead of the curve and I follow your lead every step along the way! Every year I wait for the Senior Bowl content to hear who will be below the radar that you guys know about that the mainstream are sleeping on, (drafted Antonio Gibson on so many teams I can’t even count). Drafted Cooper Kupp because you guys said so years ago. Wait for the best ball cheatsheet so I can jump in those, wait for the skeleton of the RW cheatsheet so I can start mocking and getting my draft board set. Wait for the final combine ranks so I can study how you guys rank and evaluate players. I wait and religious study the matchup tool each week, would be crippled without it. Wait for the DFS cheatsheet. Wait and use the Vegas Props to help me break any ties on lineup decisions. View your weekly ranks which seem to have improved this year good job there. Listen to dam near every maniacle pod with Byron, Alex, + even the Trashman lol. Follow u guys on Twitter great content there as well. I could go on and on and on. I started listening to you guys on Saturday nights on Serious and honestly never looked back. So after all this I was thinking I have always wanted to compete with you guys in a league and read the tweet about the Banana hammock league you guys often mention and so I’m gonna throw my hat in the ring for the spot. I’m just like you guys I compete in best ball, season long, DFS, Dynasty, keeper. I make player props before the season hit on Jonathan Taylor over 550 rushing prop and CEH over 950 total yd prop already this year. Over 850 on Monty the year before. I’m a degenerate. Played alot of Texas holdem over the years, I hear the poker references you guys make. Avid in fitness and golfer, Business Analyst for career with a BA in Marketing and a Masters in Education. Geese I made this like an interview lol.

In my Dynasty Championship I picked up Hurts and also have Kyler Murry now who do I start?
Very tough call, second question about this. Very difficult to bench Murray- he is the safe option and probably still offers similar upside. Still, it’s hard to believe Hurts isn’t in a great spot here all together. I might start Hurts- wait for rankings to be updated!
I has to pick up Hurts if for no other reason than I would not be playing against him.

Once again having a successful year with RosterWatch. I am in 18 leagues total. I made the playoffs in 15, and I am in the Championship game in 9 of those leagues.

I picked up JHurts. I still own Brady
I Have Pit Def. but Chicago, Arizona, WashFT and TBay available
Pick up Chicago (JRobinson may not play) or another Def and drop Pit – or drop Brady and wait to choose Def (my opponent will not need Brady, but has Houston and may take Pit def)
Also available on waiver: If I should not carry 2 QB and/or 2Def and to have a best player Flex just in case:
GEdwards, SMichel/DHarris. Coutee. RHiggins, SWattkins CurtSamuel.
I’m interested in Coutee, Edwards, and Higgins- just depends on who your current flex is. But, generally I think in competitive leagues those guys should be owned and considered as flex plays
Brady has a great matchup (#1) so I would not drop him

Shouldn’t Chicago Defense have best matchup since JRobinson is hobbled (Available are Chicago, AZ, TBay,WashFT)
On multiple rankings: Chicago then Arizona then TB then Wash FT ranked higher than Pit this week
On Ultimate Match-up tool, Best defenses this week that are available to me:
WashFT vs Car. Low O/U 44.5. (What if McCaffrey plays?)
Pit (but plays Indy with good Offense). Low O/u. 44.5
NOrleans. High O/U 51.5.
Best way for me to wade through this?
My guess is someone will grab 1 or 2 of those defenses today (unfortunately even those owners in the consolation brackets still grab players from waivers.

Would appreciate any help! I’m in 2 fantasy finals. In one league I’m going up against Josh Allen. In the other, I got Herbert, Hurts and Josh Allen…. massive dilemma here on who to start out of those 3? Leaning Herbert but I feel like fantasy Karma would bite me in the ass if I benched Allen… but that also would be a conflicting issue considering I’m going against him in the other league. Help.
You have to look at each league separately in my judgment and play the optimal player. I think Allen is a play. Good luck!
Would you start Mayfield over Brees or Wilson? And PPR Gesicki or H Henry?
Mayfield is hot right now. Wilson is ice cold. It is a reasonable way to go, as long as you can stomach Wilson going off on your bench.
Ppr need one Ertz, Gesicki or H Henry?
