RosterWatch Week 3 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet and Podcast Now Available

Building a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

    I have Justin Herbert and need to sit him until he wakes up. I have shough, baker mayfield , cj stroud and geno on the wire. I also have number 1 priority for waivers. Do I burn it for shough or get a streamer and hope for Herbert to wake up. I am 2-0

      IDK man, I can’t explain what is going on with Herbert but if you’re gonna sit him a week is it really gonna be against BUF in a game that could sort of shoot out? All of BUF’s games have so far. If you’re gonna pick up one of those other dudes, I’d be most interested in Shough for sure.

      you can if you want I guess but I wouldn’t be going nuts to get that done. I wouldn’t bid for than like 5 or 6 bucks in 1QB if you want to take a shot. You have pretty good QBs

      I personally would pick up Bryce just to see if this is anywhere near real. I’d have to know a little about your roster to see if I’d consider that KW3 trade.

    Isaiah Williams’ snap percentage has gone up (and his targets). Too trashy to add for a Mike Washington or Chris Bell (our league also gets 0.05/return yard)?

      Man that Williams usage has been so weird. It is trashy because are you really thinking youre going to start him? Bell and Washington both have real upside, I really don’t see it with him, IDK I think I’d stand pat.

      1) I don’t know the availability of the DEN and SEA backfields for this week. I’d still be tempted to drop him for Coleman – it looks like Jacobs is probably gonna be back soon anyway

      2) I would drop Tate for Tyson, you’ll have to wait a while, but Tate has been terrible.

      It wasn’t really getting much traction so we made the decision that he should take that time on Mondays and better spend it making sure he was getting the dynasty top 250 updated on a weekly basis in-season. I’m sorry if you miss that, it was a tough decision to make, but we think it was worth it.

      If you’ve also got Kincaid that is fine, but is McLaurin the only offer you could muster up? I’m not sure I love him so much with Mariota. Optimally, I would like to wait for a week where he goes off and sell him then.

    Should I be down on receivers Godwin and Pittman as my WR 3 and or 4? I have Chase and Garret Wilson as my 1 and 2. Players on waiver wire are Vele, Wicks, Tre Tucker. Also Jordon Tyson is there. Would you switch out Godwin or Pittman or both for the waiver wire guys I listed?

      I don’t know if Pittman is playing, but I would play Vele over him anyway this week. As for Tyson, he should be owned, you should go get him.

    Two questions – different leagues:
    League #1: for QB/Superflex spot – Shough/Murray/Nix – pick 2 and for Flex spot: Hampton or Waddle (Bijan/Cook are RB1/2 and Jefferson/Watson are WR1/2)
    League#2: RB poor – pick two from disgusting options: Scattebo/E Wilson/Gainwell/K. Johnson/Spears (might get him off waivers)/Allgier (FA)

      we have Shough and Kyler and I’m just going with Hampton for the game environment. sick team, jeez.

      Skat and then yuck. I might just roll Kaleb and get some action on THU night for fun, but I would rather hold out to see if something happens with Jadarian Price since he left the last game — but the guys who project for 8 points are Allgeier, Spears and Gainwell. Guess I would recommend going Spears but he has a Q tag right now, so keep an eye on it. And play Wilson of course if Price is out.
