RosterWatch Week 5 Matchup Tool Now Available

Welcome back.
This is a proprietary weekly tool provided by RosterWatch for our PRO community.
It is designed to be a decision-making tool for gauging the defensive opponents your fantasy players face. If you are new to this, our time-tested and most popular flagship in-season tool, the instructions for use couldn’t be simpler, and can be found below.
DO NOT RELY ON “FANTASY POINTS AGAINST” as your primary indicator for player matchups ever again. It is not an all-encompassing metric, as you’ll see, which will cause you heartache and struggle.
The rankings represented here are derived via a proprietary algorithm which takes into account not only traditional “fantasy points against” metrics (schedule-adjusted after 4 weeks of play), but also (and most importantly) weighted averages and medians of separate individual player and defensive-unit scouting grades for members of the 2025 unit that will be run-stopping, pass-rushing, or covering against the position in question, along with other analytic trends including projected game-script, game-flow/pace, sportsbook indicators, volume of total projected snaps and much, much, more.
…
INSTRUCTIONS:
To use the tool, think about your fantasy player.
Let’s say you roster Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs and would like to see how he matches up against the defense he faces this week.
First, look down the list and find the Lions (Gibbs’ team). You will see that the Lions’ opponent (OPP) is the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5, and there are four color-coded cells in the horizontal columns marked “OPP vs. QBs,” “OPP vs. RBs,” “OPP vs. WRs” and “OPP vs. TEs.”
These are the OPPONENT’S (in this case the BENGALS’) OFFICIAL ROSTERWATCH MATCHUP RANKINGS AGAINST THESE GIVEN POSITIONS.
They are not the rankings for the LIONS, but rather, for the OPPONENT THEY FACE IN THIS GIVEN WEEK (the THE BENGALS). In the “OPP vs. RBs” cell for the Lions, you’ll notice a big, blue ‘No. 1’. This means that Gibbs (and David Montgomery) face our best possible matchup for opposing RBs in Week 5 (the Bengals). This is a great indicator for fantasy managers of Gibbs and Montgomery. It is also a positive one for those thinking of rostering them in DFS contests.
Repeat the same process for other players on your roster as you are trying to break ties with closely ranked players regarding who to start and who to sit in season-long leagues. Also use it to identify which upside-plays to roster in DFS contests based on matchup.
With the launch of the online tool, you can now sort by any column: Vegas line, over/under, and matchup ranks vs. each position for easy reference. The Vegas lines are updated hourly for your reference and research. Please note that matchup ratings can change slightly through the week as lines and totals shift, or as injuries to key defensive personnel occur.
1 is the best (easiest) matchup, 32 is the worst (toughest).

12 team 7 keeper deep benches ppr. I lost Malik and I’m in 5th place. Nothing great on bench. Should I do this three way trade? I could offer this trade and probably get it. I give up Josh Allen, Josh Jacob’s and Malik.
I get Justin Herbert, Javonte Williams, Jakobi Meyers, Keenan. Allen, Emeka Egbuka, and WanDale Robinson.
If I cant get that trade done, should I do this trade ive slready been offered? I ve been offered Justin Herbert, Jakobi Meyers and K. Allen for Josh Allen and Malik.
My team
J. Allen
J acobs
Montgomery
JSN
K. Shakir
Q. Johnston
Okonkwo
C. Austin
Boutte
We run an extra flex. Sorry for the confusion. Vive nearly blind and it’s hard for me to do this.
Thank you!
I´ve got a question regarding the state of my dynasty team. It’s a 12-team. 0.5 PPR, 2QB. My current record is 2-1 (lost last week because of Gibbs and Andrews), will probably move to 3-1. Here’s the squad with no injuries/sus:
QBs: Jayden Daniels, Patrick Mahomes
RBs: Jonathan Taylor, JK Dobbins
WRs: Nico Collins, Garret Wilson
TE: Harold Fannin
FLEXs: D’Andre Swift, Rashee Rice
“Notable” bench guys: Nick Chubb, Keon Coleman, Jaylen Wright, David Njoku, Jalen Royals
Picks: 2026 3rd, own all 1-3 thru 2027 and 2028
My question is: What type of moves should I aim to complete at the moment? There’s a couple of squads who have mortgaged their future so they look stronger to win-now than I do. Should I stay put? What players should I target if not? Thanks!
Man I think I would sort of stay put if I were you and certainly don’t start sacrificing those 2027s. Your team looks like one that compete if you’re 3-1 now and getting Rashee back soon.
10-team .5 ppr keeper (two keepers). Start 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex, currently 3-1.
Trying to consolidate and free up a roster spot to mine that gold. What 2-player combo makes sense to trade away (I think I’m trying to upgrade at RB).
RBs: Gibbs, Benson, Judkins, Monty, Charbonnet, TreVeyon
WRs: London, JSN, Egbuka, Godwin, Tetairoa
I think my potential keeper candidates going into next year (penalty is round they were drafted) are:
– Gibbs (1 — I think my team is strong enough to compete for a championship)
– Benson (12, FA)
– Judkins (12)
– Egbuka (8)
– Godwin (11)
I’ve no problem parting with any of them, maybe not Gibbs.
Most compelling packages I can think of are like Benson or Judkins + London or JSN or Godwin to target a high-end RB (thinking like Achane, Bucky, maybe Jeanty, Henry?)
Are these all holds? I’ve mostly avoided the injury bug, outside of Jayden Daniels so far.
Who from this list are the ROS holds vs. sells?
I understand your wanting to free up a roster spot, but you have a bunch of guys I really like. You’ve lost Benson for a while now so I’d try to package Charb + one of your Bucs WRs for someone who is a little bit down right now like Henry if you really want to make a move. Bucky can also be cheap because so much injury speculation with him.
Have kraft so i need a te for week 5. My only real drop is my backup QB stafford. I hear that Jayden D should play this week? Should I drop Stafford for a TE? or go without. We start 3 or 4 WRS – London, McLauren, suttton, McMillan, Jamison williams and Juan Jennings. Would you drop one of these (any would get scooped up and ultimately used against me. any thoughts ?
Yes of course drop Stafford for a TE.
.5 ppr
Rank these options for TE
Fannin
Tonges
Mason Taylor
We have it Fonges, Fannin, Taylor (unless we get word Njoku isn’t going to play, but we likely won’t before kickoff tonight )
