RosterWatch Week 6 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet and Podcast Now Available

Building a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

  1. how would you rank this WRs. – worthy, wandale, Wicks, Schuster(on bye wk 6) , tank dell, and dobbs, I need two of these six. thanks

    1. wan’dale, worthy, wicks, schuster, dell, doubs

  2. Since Cleveland is so bad should I give up on Chubb and drop him for Tank, Rico or Tracy Jr?

    1. or Jonathan Brooks –

  3. One more Waiver wire q – would you drop Freirmuth for Likely or Engram? thanks

    1. There’s an argument for Engram, but Freiermuth has been so consistent it’s hard to part with him

  4. 12tm PPR (3-2)

    QB: Fields (AR)
RB: Hall, Henry (Dowdle, B. Allen, Brooks*)
    WR: Evans, Shaheed (Waddle)
    TE: Ertz (Hockenson*)
    W/R/T: JSN, Javonte Williams
    DEF: Broncos
    IR: Pacheco*
    Bench: (6 spots)

    Available players:

    QB: Cousins, D. Jones, Flacco
    WR: JuJu, Whittington
RB: Bigsby, R. Johnson, J. Wright
    TE: Conklin, Ertz, Otton
    DEF: Texans, Chargers, Falcons, Eagles

I have the last waiver priority and don’t love holding two QBs but am hesitant to drop AR since I’m unsure if Fields will be a long-term solution. Are there any realistic moves worth making?

    1. I could maybe drop AR or Fields for Cousins. Don’t know how much shelf life Fields has now that Wilson is practicing. Cousins seems like a better bet for the long haul. I could see dropping Allen for JuJu too, as you’re much better at rb than wr right now

  5. I’m 1 and 4 and have a good team.
Need to start 2RB, 2WR and. Flex. Need a win

    QB
    K Murray
    J Fields
    RB
    B. Hall
    C. Hubbard
    J Jacob’s
    J Brooks
    WR
    DK Metcalf
    M Hariison Jr
    M Nabers
    Jameson Williamson
    X Wotrhy
    TE
    Ottom

ROSTERWATCH: I am a pro member so bear with me on this question. 10 team cumulative scoring (so no head to head just total scores through the end of the season) No Tight ends as we start them as WRs. we start 1 qb 3 WRs (including TEs) 2 RBs and a FLEX. My team:
QB – Daniels, Richardson & Murray
RB – Bijan, Ken Walker, R White, Ekeler and J Brooks.
WR – McBride, Samuel, Oduzne, Ferguson, Bowers.

I have first waiver pick and its tomorrow at noon. I am strong considering taking Caleb or Cousins to corner the QB market to other teams detriments and see if I can get a good offer (RB or WR upgrade) for one of mine (of course they know that carrying 4 qbs could be problematic for me but I dont see a problem until week 11).

Alternatively, I could grab the following RBs – Tracy, Rochon Johnson, Ty Chandler and Tajae Spears.

    SO QB or RB?

Finally do I drop Ekeler for whoever I pick up?

    THANKS!!!

    1. I think your team is pretty well set now. I wouldn’t take an extra QB if those guys are availabile in your FA pool, there are going to be decent options on the wire. or you could consider making a package of 1QB + 1RB like Rachaad White for a WR updgrade to Odunze, then you free up a roster spot with the 2-for-1 deal to add a guy like tracy.

I would not drop Ekeler. I do not personally endorse this strategy I don’t think it typically works esp in a 10 team league – but I can see a little more logic for it in this format. So, I’d say try it if you are set on it and be ready to cut bait if you can’t make a deal in the next week or two.

I probably like Roschon the most of those dudes – he should probably be rostered

do I just cut richardson and roll with daniels and murray and pick up tracy, chandler, johnson or spears?

    1. yes you can do that too.

  9. ETN, Bigsby, Dobbins, Zay Flowers, Olave, Sermon – Need 1 RB/1 WR/1 FLEX?
