RosterWatch Week 6 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet Now Available

Byron BylineBuilding a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

Whether you play in a standard waiver claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

    No “Is Sammie Coates worth my #1 waiver position” questions here haha. I wanted to ask your thoughts overall on the Oakland RB situation, as I was incredibly high on Deandre Wash pre-season & drafted him in all 5 of my leagues. Obviously nobody likes a RBBC situation, and holding either DWash/JRich is a useful stash. What is your gut feeling on who wins out?

      Seems like JRich is the play right now if Latavius is out. But, for us- we’ll always like DWash the most long-term. The team is invested in him- and he’s sick.

    12 team full point ppr league, 6 pts per receiving and rushing TDs, and 1 pt per rushing attempt.

      For the top guys- we are fine with that. Dixon still worth a stash for a few weeks where possible. Can’t hold all these guys. Lots of good options.

    12man ppr…………………. on my bench I have Winston (backup QB w/Stafford as my starter), Artis-Payne, R. Jennings, J. Starks (I have Lacy), E. Decker, Tyrell Williams & A. Gates (J. Reed my starter). On the wavier wire is Bobby Rainey and Alex Smith……..your thoughts on dropping Winston for A. Smith moving forward and who could I drop for Rainey or should I stand pat with my rbs (my starters are Ingram/Lacy so far with Sproles at the flex) (oh waiver wire pickups are $5 each fyi)……

    trashman likes Starks this week, and isn’t it possible he has staying power as the RB1 in GB? Why is he so low on the waiver chart?

      We’ve had a big enough sample size w/ Starks to know exactly who he is. Including plenty of time as Fat Eddie’s backup. Doesn’t move our needle- also as of this AM the extend of Lacy’s injury was unclear. If you’re looking for a one week play- he’s a solid option if Lacy is out.

      Thx Othneil- we love you guys. We work so hard for y’all and want to be on air more often to share.

      This depends on who your other WR are- but we almost certainly would not do that trade. Cousins is fine to matchup play- we would have never player him at BAL in 30 MPH winds- didn’t expect much there.

      We’d just stream QBs of the Waiver Wire when Cousins has a bad matchup. Eagles are tougher- but we don’t necessarily hate him in a division DJAx return game.

    Standard League. 10 Team. Would you trade Julio for Hopkins and J-Stew? Need a win this week and JJ vs Seattle scares me. My WR’s would be A-rob, Cooper, Coates, Pryor and Meredith. RB’s would be Demarco, Michael, West, and Mathews. Add Stewart and Hopkins of course. I know you hate trading for injured players but J-Stew seems to be getting healthy.

    10 team PPR – With Decker on IR, I can pick up Quick, T Williams, D Adams, Britt, Boldin or Thielen. I currently have OBJ, Cooper, Hogan and Royal as my WRs. WW cheat sheet says Quick, but is he the best long term option? I should be good this week on WRs but who is the better long term play? Thielen?

      Quick is a bit of an upside guy there. Long term- safe bet is Adams. Thielen could be sneaky.

    I have a trade offer where I give Melvin Gordon and John Brown and get DeAndre Hopkins.
    We start 2 rb 2 wr. PPR I have D.Martin, CJ ANderson, and GOrdon at RB with Prior and ANtionio Brown at WR. Is the Upgrade from Prior to Hopkins worth the downgrade/loss of depth to go do D. Martin and Anderson. Let me know your thoughts.

    Here’s my team:

    QB: Rivers, Alex Smith, Sam Bradford; WR: Tyrell Williams, Quincy Enunwa; RB: David Johnson, Todd Gurley, DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews, Alfred Morris, Kenneth Dixon; TE: Hunter Henry, Will Tye (pending claim on Zach Miller)

    I want to swap Rivers for Smith due to Denver matchup. Same for Tyrell, with Enunwa BUT … because my RBs put up the highest combined totals EVERY week, I’m thinking about taking a chance and getting Chris Conley to pair with Smith. Don’t want to get too cute about it, but I’m intrigued because they should be able to put up points vs Oakland and I like the target & snap numbers for him.

    What do you think? (I can also put a claim in for Hurns & Kerley)

    Hey guys thanks to the cheat sheet I have a stacked roster. I picked up J. Howard before anyone had him on their radar and I’m now loaded at RB (D. Johnson, Ferrari, Howard, and the disgusting L. Murray). I’m a little thin at WR since K.Allen got hurt (Hopkins, Shepherd, numerous WW pickups) and QB (Manning, Taylor, Flacco) so I’m looking to flip someone, but oddly enough I think I’m leaning towards Gurley. What out of these would you prefer:

    B.Marsh+Brees/Ryan (maybe)
    M. Evans straight up
    O. Beckham straight up (long shot)
    T.Coleman + M. Jones
