RosterWatch Week 8 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet Now Available

Keep grinding, RosterWatch Nation. It’s not a sexy week on the waiver wire, but there are definitely some pickups that should be made, and plenty of guys who can help you through your bye-week nightmares. Continue to identify one or two players at the bottom of your roster who stink, and recycle them for hotter waiver-wire talent.

All of the prospects listed in the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet are less than 50% owned across fantasy leagues. PRO Members can always find all RW PRO downloads in the “your profile” tab above, or by clicking here.

  1. Dynasty Rookie cheat sheet? Is the week 8 waiver wire cheat sheet going up next?

    1. sorry about that, I linked the wrong page. As a reminder, you can always check the “your profile” section as I mentioned. Sometimes sheets are up a few hours before we make posts on the ticker that they’re available. You can use this link and it will always take you to your PRO downloads – https://rosterwatch.com/your-profile – Thx again-ad

  2. Yes I noticed it’s not the waiver wire week 8 also

  3. Byron, what do you think about this trade? I already got the go-ahead from your FB page (I think that’s run by trash man?). It’s a 0.5 PPR 2 QB league. I’ve got Matt Ryan, Eli Manning, Latavius Murray, Mark Ingram, Tevin Coleman, Duke Johnson, Julio Jones, DeMaryius Thomas, Allen Hurns, Golden Tate, Stefon Diggs, Travis Kelce, and Greg Olsen. Here’s the trade — I trade away Julio Jones for TY Hilton and Eddie Lacy. Our setup is 2 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX.

    1. Trashman does facebook take his advice at your own risk. : )

      1. Alex, I posted the same thing on one of your articles, but please feel free to answer here the same question I asked Byron.

    2. Post By FootballKingz

No I would not do that- and yes FB is the Trashman’s filthy operation. You need to keep Julio!

Still no waiver wire week 8

    1. It’s been available since 2:10PM Austin, TX time yo

  5. sorry linked the wrong one, will fix.

  6. Do you guys believe the same that Alfred Blue is a short term fix and Chris Polk is a long term stash in Houston?

    1. First off, neither is a “fix” – I personally hate them both but we’ve seen Blue can produce for fantasy if given volume. I don’t see much anything long-term in Polk, but I suppose it could be argued he’s a slightly better pure-runner than Blue. We’ve scouted both live and come away very uninspired with each. We also think Polk has trouble picking things up and earning the trust of NFL coaches in general. It’s going to be important to monitor through the week then see how snaps are divided, etc.

  7. Alex,

Non-PPR league. have to start 2 RBs. I have McCoy and Yeldon on Bye.
Going to start Charcandrick West at one RB spot. Only other RB I have is Hyde, who has been killing me whenever I start him.

Who is a “swing for the fences” RB I can pick up off of waivers that I can plug into my starting lineup for Week 8? Duke Johnson? Alfred Blue? Both go against decent run defenses this week.

Give me something because I can’t take watching Hyde continue to struggle in my starting lineup.

    1. answered this in the other thread 🙂

  8. In ppr, Devante Adams or Brandon lafell?

    1. Meaning waiver wire option

    2. LaFell has the better matchup this week- and may get more targets than Adams rest of season. It’s close- I personally hate LaFell- but prob give him the edge here. Good luck!

  9. 12 Team Standard (Record: 4-3; 2nd place somehow)

    [1] QB: empty
[2] WR: A. Brown, Hopkins (Hurns, Watkins, T. Austin)
[2] RB: Forte, D. Martin (Abdullah, Duke Johnson, A. Andrews)
    [1] TE: Barnidge
    [1] FLEX: Gore
    Bench total : (5)

Any thoughts on who I should I offer up to the 2-5 team listed down below who actually accepted my offer of Tyrod, Barnidge, and Abdullah for his Olsen and Luck last week before it was vetoed by the league. I feel like I can take advantage of his vulnerability but I wanna make an offer that won’t get vetoed if he accepts…

I plan on dropping Andrews or one of my other bench guys later this week for Cutler, Bridgewater, Hoyer, or another suitable QB, and hopefully I can get Tyrod back after his bye week. Unless I should try trading someone for Luck or Rivers?

After a trade processes tomorrow, someone will be subsequently dropping Martellus Bennett so is it worth burning my 3rd waiver priority for him? If so I’d have to drop one of my RBs or Wrs… (I’m leaning towards Watkins?) Also, IF I add Bennett, I won’t need two TEs so I think I should be selling high on Barnidge?

    His Team (2-5):
    [1] QB: Rivers (Luck)
    [2] WR: A. Cooper, J. Matthews (R. White)
[2] RB: Ingram, J. Randle (Bradshaw)
    [1] TE: Olsen (O. Daniels)
    [1] FLEX: Blount

All things considered, I would greatly appreciate your advice as always guys!

  10. give away marshall, stewart and cooks. get back jeremy hill and antonio brown?? i gotta do that right?

    1. no, you don’t have to. marshall is a bonafide wr 1 and cooks is getting better. stew has the backfield to himself. i’d only do it if one of those guys can’t find his way into your lineup weekly.

      1. thanks!!!!

  11. I am wondering who I should start this week. I need 2 RB’s and 3 WR’s. It’s a 1/2 point PPR.

    RB’s:
    LaGarrette Blount
    Justin Forsett
    Isaiah Crowell
    Shane Vereen

    WR’s:
    Odell Beckham
    Amari Cooper
    Ted Ginn
    Tavon Austin
    Travis Benjamin

    Thanks guys!
    Ian

    1. blount, forsett, obj, coop, and benj

      1. Thanks. I appreciate the advice.

  12. 1 pt PPR – Start/Sit Question:

Need Two RB and a Flex from — Lat Murray, Martin, Gore, Hill, Moncrief?

  13. Issue with this weeks Rankings? It seems like players who were on bye last week are missing from week 8 (i.e. Sanders, and other Broncos). Maybe it’s on my end?

    1. this is a cheat sheet for waivers, not rankings. sorry for the confusion.

      1. He’s referring to your actual rankings, not the waiver wire cheat sheet! I can’t find Cutler or Forte in the rankings however I know they’re not final.

Also, what’s a PRO Member gotta do to get his question answered around here? It’s reposted above since it was skipped after I commented on the Fantasy Fallout article yesterday…

        1. Yes, sorry for the confusion, I am referring to rankings, not waiver wire sheet.

  14. I have 2 questions about how to strengthen my RB group for late & post season.
Standard 8-team league (3rd year playing, past two were 12-team leagues; 8-team is so different!)
Currently 5-2 and tied for 1st place (really appreciate your advice to-date)
    QB: Big Ben, Tannehill
    RB: Freeman, Lacy, Woodhead, Blount
WR: J Jones, Hopkins, Landry, Evans, Cooks, Hurns, Diggs
    TE: Gronk
    Defense: Stream

Concerns about Lacy and want to add 1 or 2 RBs with good late season potential. The league is active with waivers but never seems to trade. I just got Diggs on waiver but missed out on West & McFadden to others. I think Andrews & Blue have limited upside; and considering Duke Johnson, Starks and/or Sims. I think Hurns and/or Cooks are most expendable from my roster based on depth at WR position.

I’d really appreciate your opinions on both 1) RBs to pick, and 2) current players to drop. Thanks in advance.

    1. Forgot to add, league plays 2RB, 2WR and 1 RB/WR Flex.

  15. Hey Guys,

Love this site- thanks for all the help.

I’m in a 2 QB, PPR, flex spot league (2 rb, 2wr, 1 te, 1 flex) and currently roster :
Rivers, Bradford, Hoyer, Lacy, Ingram, Stewart, Demarious, Jeffery, Martavious, John Brown, Diggs, Gates, and Reed.
Between those WR’s and TE’s, I’m benching too many starting options this week and am looking to upgrade from Bradford/Hoyer.
I’ve been offered Luck and either Hyde or Jeremy Hill for Demarious and Ingram.. Do you guys make this move, and if so, do you go for Hyde or Hill?

    Appreciate the advice in advance.

    1. The question above is whether the upgrade from Bradford/Hoyer the rest of the way is greater than what I’m losing in Ingram to Stewart/Hill or Hyde, because I’ll still be throwing out Jeffrey, Martavious, Brown, and Diggs on a weekly basis
