RosterWatch Week 9 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet and Podcast Now Available

Building a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

  1. James Cook is in the TE section….

    1. Ha, I had to move him down after the Nyheim Hines news and just pasted his name over there so I could copy it into the new spot. Thanks for the heads up, will fix. Was trying to make updates ASAP.

  2. 10 team PPR 3-5, Play 1QB 3WR 2RB 1Flex 1TE No IR spots
Still in playoff race, but need help
    Me: 5 player bench league
    QB: Dak Prescott
WR: Kupp, DLondon, GPickens WandaleRobinson APierce
RB: Fournette, DSwift, JWilliams (DET) , Montgomery D’onta Foreman
    TE: Pitts and Waller

    This week on Bye:
QB DPrescott , so need to pick up a QB (and drop a player)
    WR: GPickens, WanDale Robinson

    WR QUESTION: PPR
I could play Kupp, DLondon and APierce as my 3 WR
    or
I can pick up an available WR on Waiver ( and drop a player – – note see below, I need to drop a player to get a QB this week too)
    RMoore, JPalmer, DDouveney, DSlayton, JDotson

    and/or I could trade D’onta Foreman for a WR 2?

    QB QUESTION:
    Availabale on waivers:
Goff vs GB, GSmith vs Ariz, JFields vs Miami, Mariotta vs Atl ADalton vs Balt, Heinecke vs MN PJWalker vs Cinci
    – and drop who?

    Drop Candidates;
    Waller – I have Pitts 🙁
    A Pierce/ Dlondon?

  3. Is Jeff Wilson higher on the list now given the recent trade?

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

JW will have some nice value this year..need Mostert to miss time to get a clarified start, but we like him

  4. Keeper league. Is it worth bidding on Breece Hall to hold for $40 keeper price next year ($200 auction budget)?

Feels like it is, if we consider him a top 5-6 fantasy back next year.

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

No if it is a one year keeper, Hall will be ready in October best case scenario. He is a fade for us next year unless reports over the summer are glowing

    Rhamondre Stevenson RB | NE
    A.J. Brown WR | PHI
    Justin Jefferson WR | MIN
    Dallas Goedert TE | PHI
    Raheem Mostert RB | MIA
    Chiefs DST | KC
    Tyler Bass K | BUF

    Bench
    Justin Fields QB | CHI
    Jamaal Williams RB | DET
    Josh Reynolds WR | DET
    D.J. Moore WR | CAR
    D’Andre Swift RB | DET

We dont get bent out of shape about starting guys on the same team. Always start your best player in the best matchups.

  6. What kind of target piece in return could I / should I be targeting if I offer up Swift and Jamaal? Both are beyond bye weeks, both are reasonable starters individually.

I’d like to free up a roster spot, but also want to rid myself of the headache of seeing points scored from my bench.

    10-team, .5 PPR |. 1 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 Flex

My other RBs: Taylor, Walker, Zeke

Is that too rich for a Godwin (do we want Godwin?)? Could I entice the Miles Sanders owner who’s stuck with CEH to boot?

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

You can prob get a top notch WR. Target an injured Jamar Chase

  7. Post By julozano@verizon.net

What do you guys think of me trading Dhop for Rhamondre Stevenson

My current WR’s are Diggs, Aj Brown, Dhop, Aiyuk, Mike William

My current RB’s are Jonathan Taylor, Aaron Jones, Singletsry, and James Robinson

    .5 ppr superflex league have to start 2 rb’s and 2 Wr’s

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

We would hold D-Hop, he is looking like a literal league winner.

  8. Impro 10-6 4th place dynasty $1000 budget 12 teams .5 ppr
I’ve been offered J. Mixon $169 for B. Hall $145. Should I do this trade?

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

hold Hall. You can do much better

  9. I got hit hard by the byepocolypse this week – did some vulturing on the waiver wire. My options at RB are:
    – Nyheim Hines
    – Pacheco,
    -Kenyan Drake
    -Caleb Huntley
I need to pick 2. Thoughts?

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Pacheco for sure (upside) and Hines is interesting

  10. In a Ppr league Start 2 RB and 2 Flex(no QB) I have RB’s

Walker, Sanders, A.Jones, CEH,Pacheco, Hunt, and just picked up Wilson off the wire.

The Mostert owner has AJ Dillon, should I try to swap Wilson for Dillon.

  11. also would you start Pacheco over CEH.

  12. Bye week scramble – 1 point PPR league, 1 point per 20 receiving yards

    WR/RB/TE slot

    Gerald Everett
    Brandin Cooks
    Antonio Gibson

Or drop one of them for Romeo Doubs?

    HELP!

    1. Drop Everett for Doubs and spot start Doubs this week. Great matchup for Packers against Lions.

  13. ROS PPR… Pacheco or Mostert have to drop one to p/u receiver since it looks like Keenan Allen’s not playing again this week
    Thanks

    1. Definitely holding on to Mostert and dropping Pacheco
