RosterWatch Week 9 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet Now Available

Building a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

  1. Weird Waiver wire question. So I am in a standard scoring league (2 QB league as well) but this week the last place team was eliminated for having lowest points up to date. As a result all of his players are now on the waiver wire. The players he has that I’m looking at are Kelce and Lamar Jackson. My FAB is $100. How much should I offer for them knowing that a team will be eliminated every week going forward and their players will become Free Agents.

    My current roster is:

    QB – R Wilson
    QB – J Burrow
    WR – C Kupp
    WR – C. Lamb
    WR – M Evans
    RB – J Taylor
    RB – A Ekeler
    TE – T Hockenson
    Flex – D Henry

    Bench Players
    WR – B Aiyuk
    WR – T Boyd
    TE – D Waller
    RB – M Sanders

    Thank you!!!

I need advice on whether to make a splash move, or tank for next year. 12 team keeper league, currently 3-5 and one game out of 6th place.

I used the PPR cheat sheet and felt great about my team post draft. But as a result of Burrow’s early season struggles, and Arthur Smith’s incompetence (along with other things) I’ve lost four straight.

    Current Roster:
    QB: J Burrow
RB: Bijan, K. Walker, D. Pierce, Roschon, J. Wilson Jr., Achane
WR: G. Wilson, Metcalf, Z. Flowers, Davante, DJ Moore, Jameson Williams
    TE: Stream

We are allowed three keepers per year based on round drafted for the first year, and then prior year ADP for second year keeper. First rounders cannot be kept (Bijan). Previous keepers were G. Wilson, K. Walker, and J. Williams. I have a healthy stable of keepers for next year that could be valuable on the trade market or helpful if I tank. Flowers 8th, Achane 10th, Roschon 11th, K. Walker 4th.

We can trade future picks, with true difference makers commanding a 2nd or 3rd rounder. I can’t decide if I should hold out hope that my current team plus an available but slightly damaged difference maker (Justin Jefferson or Cooper Kupp) on the trade market can challenge in the playoffs. Or should accept my fate and sell my depth for parts and try again next year.

Love y’all’s work and listen to the show! I appreciate any advice and apologize for the dear diary post.

    Thanks!

    1. Coming from someone who’s started 1-4 in the past and ending up winning I’d say hold out. I think a winning season is well within reach

  3. PPR League:
1 QB needed to use this week:
    Minshew, Howell, or Levis?

    1 TE: Shultz or McBride?

  4. On the grind again how do you huys feel about the following trade.
    My Nico for Monty
My Team: Dak, Breece, Pacheco, Puka, AJ, Lamb, Hock, Dallas D, Aiyuk, Charbonet, Roschon, Demarcado, J Hill and K Murray on the IR
    – Would you guys roll with Dallas D, or stream?
    Thanks RW

    1. My team is currently 3 and 5 in 7th place one game out..
And I just received the following trade offer.. My Deebo and D Smith for his Sun god.
My team: Fields, Goff, Pollard, Stevenson, Tyreek, M Evans, Shultz, Nico, Cowboys D, Charbonet, G Edwards,Kyren, Conner, Engram
      Thanks Again

    2. I’d pull that trigger and stick with Dallas

  5. 12 team PPR Superflex; (6-2)

QBs are Josh Allen, D. Watson and Daniel Jones, and Kyler Murray on IR

Should I drop Watson or Jones for Levis or Dobbs? Or hold…

    1. I could drop Jones for Levis upside

      1. Thanks but Levis got claimed by someone else because I claimed McBride first so all good!

  6. Sorry in advance for the length but big dyno league and need help!

    Dynasty (Year 5) Record: 6-2
10 team PPR (6pt Passing TDs)

    1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 FLEX, 1 TE (20 Bench)

QB: Minshew, Anthony Richardson*, Kirk Cousins*, Trey Lance
RB: Bijan Robinson, Hall, Etienne, K. Miller, Gainwell, J. Wilson, T. Chandler, K. Ingram, K. Mitchell
WR: A.J. Brown, N. Collins, D.J. Moore, Dell, E. Moore, Shaheed, Palmer, Mooney, Boyd, D.J. Chark, Tillman, P. Campbell
TE: Hockenson, H. Henry, J. Johnson, Fant

    Picks: 2.8, 3.8, 4.8

    Potential Adds ($117 FAAB remaining)
QB: Dobbs, Heinicke, Z. Wilson, J. Hall
    RB: D. Evans, Blackshear
    WR: Shakir, Isaiah Hodgins
    TE: Connor Heyward

Lost Cousins and but still trying to stay competitive as my team was averaging 130 pts/game and slightly ahead with 2nd most points!

    1) Who and how much should I bid on QB?
    2) Any other adds? How much FAAB?
    3) There’s a team with Burrow, Lamar Jackson, Howell, Stroud, Watson, and Levis so should I go after one of those QBs in a trade and who/what are we willing to give up?

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Wow Trashman skipped me? What a surprise…

      Updated:
      Ended up getting:
      Dobbs $37
      Shakir $11
      Heyward $8
      Blackshear $2

Dobbs was an overpay because no one else claimed him…

Still curious about how/what to trade for a QB from that team with like 6 good ones?

      Here’s his team:

QB: Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, C.J. Stroud, Sam Howell, Deshaun Watson, Will Levis
RB: Tony Pollard, Austin Ekeler, Derrick Henry, Nick Chubb, Jaylen Warren, James Conner, Chuba Hubbard, Chase Brown, Jamaal Williams, Darrell Henderson, Snoop Conner, Ty Montgomery
WR: CeeDee Lamb, Cooper Kupp, Mike Williams, Mecole Hardman, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Devin Duvernay, Mack Hollins, Randall Cobb
TE: George Kittle, Evan Engram, Trey McBride, Austin Hooper

      1. Curious what kind of league are you where teams have roster of 30? Looks to me that you may have a 3 or 4 team league.

        1. It’s a 10 team dynasty with huge benches! Waivers are pretty barren because everyone has such large rosters… we also get 5 IRs spots.

          1. Post By Incognito

Might be fun if you had every team trim 5 spots off their roster to populate waivers.

  7. Time to sell Jacobs?

    1. Maybe Jacobs + Downs to get Achane?

12 team 0.5 PPR. Would you trade Garrett Wilson and Amari cooper for davante adams? Or is that too steep? My other WRs are tyreek, deandre Hopkins, Michael Thomas, JSN. He’s not biting on anyone else

  9. Lineup Question

I have concerns with James Cook — would you start any of these players over Cook? — DK Metcalf, Dionte Johnson, Jaylen Warren, or JSN? thanks
