Steven Jackson Has Never Rushed For 100 Yards vs. Seattle
Alex Dunlap, Rosterwatch.com
In 13 career games vs. division rival Seattle, Rams RB Steven Jackson has not once registered a 100-yard game on the ground.
This is not to say that he has not had productive games against the Seahawks, but the fact that he has not eclipsed the 100-yard mark on the ground was a bit of a surprise- to me, at least. Especially playing in a division that has been generally known for terrible run defenses during the prime of his career.
It is worth noting that over the 13-game period, Jackson has scored 7 TDs, but never had a multiple-TD game. So, more often than not, he scores 1 touchdown against the Seahawks. He has scored 1 TD in 7 games, and no TDs in 6 games.
Seattle is a bottom-8 matchup for opposing RBs this year, and bottom-6 over the last 5 weeks. They are not an easy out for any runner in 2011, although they do tend to play much tougher at home.
Steven Jackson owners hoping for a third-straight 100+ yard game vs. the Seahawks in Week 11 should temper their yardage expectations, but feel confident knowing that history tells us he is more likely to score a TD than not.
