The Garbage Grab: Week 10
Garbage Grab: Week 10
The Trashman, Rosterwatch.com
It’s Week 10, and the injuries keep coming. Don’t look now, but I’ve got a handful of trashy treasures that are sure to help you carry on your winning ways.
Tyler Eifert TE, Cincinnati Bengals: Fellow tight end Jermaine Gresham is no lock to play this week, which would leave Eifert free reign over the position against Baltimore. He could have a big day against a Ravens defense that is tough to get deep on.
Marquise Goodwin WR, Buffalo Bills: Former track star Goodwin has emerged as the deep presence for the Bills in recent weeks, posting 120 yards and a td over the past two contests. And this is with Thad Lewis and Jeff Tuel throwing balls. Up and coming star, E.J. Manuel is scheduled to return under center this week to everyone’s delight. With Robert Woods out with an ankle injury, Goodwin will play all three wide sets in a soft matchup with the now kitten like Steelers.
Cole Beasley WR, Dallas Cowboys: Beasley has been serviceable as of late with Miles Austin’s leg troubles and all, and news that Dez Bryant is having back trouble only bolsters his potential. The Cowboys will have to air it out against the Saints, and even as the fourth option, Beasley is a good bet to have his best game of the season.
Mohamed Sanu WR, Cincinnati Bengals: Sanu came to life last week with 62 yards on 9 targets. He was featured extensively in the short game, so Sanu is potentially another player that may benefit in the absence of Gresham.
Shonn Greene RB, Tennessee Titans: Greene is the dedicated short yardage and goal line back in Tennessee, but he’s still owned in less than 30% of leagues. Even after a 66 yd, 1 td game. The Titans face the Jaguars this week, who are dead last against the run, so if there is any week you want to start Greene, it’s this one.
E.J.Manuel QB, Buffalo Bills: Manuel was on his way to a solid rookie year before he was sidelined with a knee injury for several weeks. Now healthy, Manuel will face a beatable Steelers defense with the help of an impressive arsenal of receivers. Look for him to pick up where he left off before his injury.
Dennis Johnson RB, Houston Texans: Arian Foster may need back surgery, and that means you need to pick up Dennis Johnson ASAP. He looked powerful in his few carries against a fierce Colts defense last Sunday, and he projects to get more than a handful of carries this week. Arizona is no easy matchup, but I like Johnson’s chances.
