The Garbage Grab: Week 3
The Garbage Grab: Week 3
The Trashman, RosterWatch.com
These are my dumpster darlings for week 3. Treat with some caution. It should be said that Daryl Richardson of the Rams is an automatic start if Steven Jackson doesn’t play. He’s not trashy enough to consider as true garb grab material though.
Scott Chandler TE, Bills: WIth David Nelson out for the year, Chandler is a legit red zone target who has scored in both games this season. I wouldn’t be surprised if he made it a third.
Brandon Myers TE, Raiders: The athletic Myers leads the Raiders in receiving in their new West Coast offense. Catching every pass(11) that you’re thrown is a good way to accomplish that. In a tough matchup against the Steelers, I expect Carson Palmer to dump the ball off to this guy quite a bit.
Felix Jones RB, Cowboys: Jones has been invisible through two weeks of the NFL season. So why do I have confidence in him this week? Call it a hunch.
Damaris Johnson WR, Eagles: He’s a risky fantasy play for sure, but if you saw what Ramses Barden did to Carolina on Thursday, then you should realize that a capable receiver in a starting position on a high scoring team is worth a start.
Julian Edelman WR, Patriots: Should Brandon Lloyd not suit up for this week’s contest in Baltimore, I like Edelman to see more targets. The pickings are slim in New England minus Hernandez and Lloyd, so don’t overlook Wes Welker lite.
Leonard Hankerson WR, Redskins: Hankerson will start in Pierre Garcon’s stead should his foot keep him out of this tasty matchup against the Bengals’ ho- hum pass defense. Garcon plays the “x” receiver spot, which is RGIII’s first read on pass plays. Look for Hankerson to continue his impressive performance from last week.
Javon Ringer RB, Titans: Chris Johnson looks like he hates football right now, and the stout Ringer should be back from an elbow infection this week. He might just use it to elbow Johnson out of the starting lineup pretty soon.
