Week 4 was the start of the bye weeks in the NFL. It wasn’t so bad in Week 4, though, with just the Colts and Steelers on bye.

As we take a look at Week 5 with the Cowboys, Raiders, Bucs and Lions taking a week off, there are likely at least a few IDPs on your squad who won’t be available for their regular duty. Here are some notable IDP pick-ups if you need a spot start (or are looking to acquire some talent) that are available on most waiver wires.

TAKE A LOOK AT ME:
Jordan Babineaux, Titans (DB) – Now slated as starter, you can expect Griffin’s numbers to go down once again. Jordan is racking up the tackles, already had 12 in week 4. Pick him up ASAP.

Sam Acho, Cardinals (LB) – Doesn’t excite you in stat box, but plays just about every snap and has at least 1 sack in 3 straight games.

Stephon Gilmore, Bills (DB) – Getting a lot of opportunity, has 7 PD’s already could be nice spot start, DB3.

Koa Misi, Dolphins (LB) – Could still be available, putting up solid numbers this season: 22 tackles and 1.5 sacks so far. Solid LB3 for your team.

Pat Angerer, Colts (LB) – If he’s available, without hesitation you should be picking him up. Maybe someone dropped him earlier or he hasn’t been drafted. He’s going to rotate with Freeman for now, so you Freeman owners take notice. His numbers may go down.

Cameron Wake, Dolphins – 5 tackles / 4.5 sacks / 5 QB Hits
Charles Johnson, Panthers – 8 tackles / 3.5 sacks / 1 PD / 5 QB Hits
Lavonte David, Bucs (r) – 14 tackles (12 solo) / 3 TFL
Nick Barnett, Bills – 15 tackles (10 solo)
Donald Butler, Chargers – 6 tackles / 0.5 sacks / 1 PD / 1 int / 1td
JJ Watt, Texans – 5 tackles / 2 sacks / 1 FR / 3 TFL
Sean Smith, Dolphins – 6 tackles / 2 int / 4 PD
Adrian Wilson, Cardinals – 10 tackles / 1 sack / 2 TFL / 3 PD / 2 QB Hits
Devin McCourty, Patriots – 5 tackles / 2 int’s / 1 TFL / 2 PD
Jordan Babineaux, Titans – 12 tackles (8 solo)
Vontaze Burfict, Bengals – 8 tackles / 1 sack / 2 TFL / 1 PD

As we approach MNF with the Chicago Bears at the Dallas Cowboys, there are a ton of IDPs playing tonight that I’m looking forward to watching.

Can the Cowboys OLine contain the Bears pass rush that includes Peppers, Melton and Idonje? Can Dez or Miles get anything going with CB Superstars Charles Tillman and Tim Jennings (who is allowing the NFL’s worst QB rating when throwing his direction at 4.9)?

Can the Bears O- Line contain the pass rush the Cowboys got with players such as DeMarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer? Expect to see a lot of Sean Lee (he could easily get 12 tackles tonight) and Cutler will have a tough timethrowing the ball as Carr and Claiborne have been shut down, especially Carr who has been thrown at 10 times but only allowed 3 receptions (that came back in week 1).

I can’t wait as I’ll watch to see which QB throws the most interceptions and which one will get sacked the most.
