Trashman’s Best Best-Ball Values – Week of August 12th
These are my best values to be had in best ball for the week…
Rounds 1-5
George Kittle, TE 49ers – 59.8 ADP
Kittle had a down year yardage wise(51 YPG), but he still scored 11 TDs on the season, a career high. Guys like Christian Kirk, now 2nd at best in the pecking order, and Chris Godwin, the 2nd option to a suspect at best QB, are being taken ahead of him currently, and neither of them projects to be as consistent a fantasy producer as Kittle. The 49ers offense is likely to be the best group they’ve fielded in some time, and Kittle is still a major cog in it.
Rounds 6-10
Javonte Williams, RB Broncos – 68.3 ADP
It looks more and more like Williams will be ready for the start of the season, after suffering an ACL injury that would have lesser men struggling. He’s slated to play in the preseason, and barring a setback, he’ll continue to ascend the fantasy rankings. Get him on the cheap while you still can. He has top 5 RB upside.
Rounds 11-15
Sam LaPorta, TE Lions – 155.3 ADP
The Lions have a brutal schedule where TEs are concerned – They have the worst strength of schedule for any team in the NFL this season. That being said, LaPorta’s star potential is palpable. He’s looked like the best player on the field thus far, and he’s got a 6 game head start while Jameson Williams serves a suspension for gambling. It won’t be an easy road for LaPorta, but he’ll get enough targets and red-zone looks to outperform his current ADP.
