Trashman’s Best Best-Ball Values – Week of July 26th
Best Best-Ball Values
These are my favorite best-ball values for the week of July 26th.
Rounds 1-5
Joe Mixon, RB Bengals – 44.8 ADP
Mixon’s status as the starter in Cincy became infinitely less murky upon his recent $4 million dollar pay cut. He’ll stay with his current team and his recent legal troubles seem to be behind him, setting Mixon up to have a stellar 2023 season on one of the best offenses in the league. Mixon was spelled more often than we’d like by Samaje Perine last season, but Perine is now a Bronco and current backup Chris Evans appears to be less of a threat in the passing game. In his 8 healthy games last season, from Week 9 to the Conference Championship, Mixon was RB5, so his upside is palpable, even at age 27.
Rounds 6-10
James Conner, RB Cardinals – 77.3 ADP
Yes, the Cardinals will likely be without QB Kyler Murray for at least a chunk of the season, but Connor was RB4 in FPG over his last 8 games in 2022, 4 of which were absent of Murray. He’s currently being drafted as RB26, so he represents immense value at the position. Expect the Cardinals to run him into the ground as the funnel for their offense, regardless of the QB under center for the time being. If he can stay healthy, Conner will be well worth his stock.
Rounds 11-15
Van Jefferson, WR Rams – 165.5 ADP
Jefferson’s value is largely tied to Matthew Stafford‘s health, but then so is Cooper Kupp‘s, and he’s being drafted as WR3 right now. The frontrunner for the no.2 WR option behind Kupp, Jefferson has been working with Stafford this off season to get up to speed together, after the veteran QB missed much of last season with a spinal cord contusion. Currently being drafted behind guys like Alec Pierce and Kenneth Gainwell, Jefferson is a bargain barrel WR whose value will only go up as the preseason wears on.
