Trashman’s Best Best-Ball Values – Week of June 15, 2023

Best ball tourneys are well underway, even though it’s “early” in the fantasy season. They’re rife for exploiting players’ current fantasy values, before the regular season outlooks get completely dialed in. These are my best values to be had in best ball for the week of June 15th.

Rounds 1-5
Justin Herbert, QB Chargers
Herbert had a down year in 2022, at least compared to 2021 when he was QB2 in PPG. His production last season was greatly affected by injuries to Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, but Herbert is primed to return to form should those two stay healthy in addition to the likely ascendance of rookie WR Quentin Johnston in fantasy and otherwise. New OC Kellen Moore is going to boost the passing attack as well, so Herbert is a steal at his 52.3 ADP.

Rounds 6-10
Alvin Kamara, RB Saints
Ok, this is a scary one, but Kamara may just end up being the final push to fantasy gold for those daring enough to roll with him in best ball. Kamara may get suspended for 6 games or more for his off-field behavior, but he’s going to be of immense value whenever he dons a Saints uniform again. Kendre Miller and Jamaal Williams are present, yes, but Kamara is no stranger to a committee. He’s still viable enough when healthy to make his touches count.

Rounds 11-15
Tyler Higbee, TE Rams
Higbee didn’t blow anybody away in fantasy last year(72/620/3), but he was 4th in TE targets and 5th in receptions(72) for a TE9 finish in fantasy. With little to no talent behind Cooper Kupp and Van Jefferson in the passing game, Higbee is set up for another high volume season in LA, so his current ADP of 148.6 represents strong value at the position. He’ll be a solid 2nd or 3rd TE on your roster at worst.
