Trashman’s Best Best-Ball Values – Week of June 6th, 2023

Best-ball tourneys are well underway, even though it’s “early” in the fantasy season (for some, RW Nation not included). They’re rife for exploiting players’ current fantasy values, before the regular season outlooks get completely dialed in. These are my best values to be had in best ball for the week of June 6th.

Rounds 1-5
Josh Jacobs, RB Raiders
Jacobs never fails to surprise us in fantasy. He led the NFL in touches through Week 17 of 2022 and led the league in rushing yards(1,653) too. WIth no real competition added to the backfield in Vegas, Jacobs is set up for another monster season, but you’re not going to have to pay up for it, as he’s rolling with a 3rd-round 27.1 ADP right now.

Rounds 6-10
James Cook, RB Bills
Cook doesn’t technically look the part, but he’s being treated like a lead back on a Buffalo team that will be among the league leaders in points per game. Damien Harris and Latavius Murray were both added in the off season, but neither back was invested in for more than 2 million so their roles aren’t necessarily vital. In any case, Cook stands to be heavily involved in a receiving game that is pretty open behind Stefon Diggs – He was PFF’s no.1 ranked player in breakaway run rate in 2022. His potential for all-purpose yards is sky high or at least higher than his 8th round 94.4 ADP would indicate.

Rounds 11-15
Michael Gallup, WR Cowboys
Gallup has been a non-issue in fantasy this off season, coming off a lackluster 424 yards and 4 TDs in 14 games in 2022. It was his first season back after an ACL injury the previous year, and it’s safe to say he wasn’t back to his old self over that time. Now completely healthy, Gallup is primed to return to 2020 form in a still potent Cowboys offense. He doesn’t have to be a world beater to best his current 12th round 142.1 ADP
