Trashman’s Fantasy Fallout Heading Into Week 10

Trashman’s Fantasy Fallout Going Into Week 10 of the NFL Season

We’re halfway through the season and our bottle of tums. Here’s the fallout going into Week 9 of the NFL season…

Ravens 28 @ Dolphins 6

Good luck determining which Ravens TE you want to roll with on the weekly. With only 5 targets between them in WK9, both Isaiah Likely(3-60) and Mark Andrews managed(2-22-2) decent fantasy lines. It’s unlikely that they’re able to squeeze that kind of production out of limited targets with any regularity.

The Miami offense is pretty anemic outside of De’Von Achane(14-67; 6-39) and Jaylen Waddle(6-82), but Greg Dulcich(5-49) did come in third in targets(5) on Thursday. With Darren Waller on IR, Dulcich enters the streaming conversation, though he’ll find little room to roam against Buffalo this week.

Falcons – 23 @ Patriots – 24

Michael Penix(22-221-2; 2-21) leaned heavily on Drake London(9-118-3) and Bijan Robinson(12-46; 8-50) and had his best fantasy line of the season. Kyle Pitts(4-38) had 7 targets but didn’t manage to do much with them. With only one TD on the season, the Pitts resurgence seems modest at best.

TreVeyon Henderson(14-55; 4-32) made the “start” with Rhamondre Stevenson(toe) sidelined, but Terrell Jennings(11-35-1; 1-9) had just as many carries and found the endzone. No word yet on Stevenson’s outlook this week, but if he sits, both Henderson and Jennings are in play against Tampa this week.

Kayshon Boutte left early with a hamstring injury, leaving Damario Douglas(4-100-1) to lead the Pats in receiving. Boutte is day-to-day, but Douglas has some upside this week if he has to sit.

Chargers 27  @ Titans 20

Kimani Vidal(12-30) played the most snaps, but Jarret Patterson(9-44) was better on the ground. We could be looking at a more even split in WK10, with Patterson getting the goal line work.

Quentin Johnston(4-53-1) continues to be one of the more frustrating players in fantasy, on account of his wild swings of production. He’s got some matchups coming up, so you can flex him, but with Oronde Gadsden(5-68) balling out now, Johnston isn’t the WR1 he was to start the season.

Tony Pollard(10-56; 1-2) and Tyjae Spears(7-26; 3-36) are seeing about an even split touch-wise, but the Titans offensive output is too meager to depend on either back for much. With a bye week this week and one of the tougher schedules for RBs after that, this is a backfield to avoid.

Bears 47 @ Bengals 42

Kyle Monangai(26-176; 3-22) didn’t find the endzone, but he found just about everything else on Sunday. Monangai’s performance probably allows the Bears to take time with D’Andre Swift’s groin injury, and he’ll face an easy Giants front this week if he gets another start. He needs to be added in all formats.

Colston Loveland(6-118-2) saw a season high 7 targets with Cole Kmet getting concussed in the 2nd quarter, including a 58-yard TD catch and run. Even if Kmet finds his way back this week, Loveland is on the streaming radar against New York.

Olamide Zaccheaus(6-58-1) has had at least 6 targets in 5 of his last 6 outings – This was the first time he eclipsed 50 yards though. He’s a PPR only flex this week.

Rome Odunze logged a goose egg one week after his second highest total of the season the previous week. This is likely an anomaly, and he’ll have much easier sledding against the Giants this week.

Andre Iosivas(5-66-1) had his best fantasy day of the season, but that was on account of the Bengals being in a shootout with the Bears all afternoon. He does have some deep league appeal against Pittsburgh this week though.

Colts 20 @ Steelers 27

The Colts got away from their usual gameplan of feeding Jonathan Taylor the rock, ending up in a fantasy boon for their WRs. Alec Pierce(6-115) looks like a weekly contributor these days, but he’ll have a tough matchup with Atlanta this week. Josh Downs found the endzone for the 3rd straight week and has the speed and underneath prowess to stay viable against the Falcons. Both players are owned in fewer than 55% of leagues.

Calvin Austin(5-56) led the Steelers with only 56-yards on the day. The whole Pittsburgh box score makes you scratch your head wondering how they pulled off a win, but then you just have to look at Daniel Jones’ 3 INTs on the other side.

49ers 34 @ Giants 24

Brian Robinson(5-53-1) had a strong line on only 5 carries. The problem is that it was only 5 carries. He’s a high-value handcuff for CMC owners, and he’ll likely get some run this season, knowing what we already know.

Devin Singletary(8-43; 2-8) outperformed Tyrone Tracy(5-18; 3-19) in virtually every category on Sunday. An ugly, two-headed beast was born out of this game, and though the Giants have a plus matchup with Chicago this week, I want no part of it.

Broncos – 18  @ Texans – 15

RJ Harvey(2-5; 5-51-1) led the Broncos in receiving, finding the endzone for the 3rd straight game. His rushing leaves much to be desired, but Harvey’s prowess in the passing game makes him a flex option in deeper formats this week.

Nick Chubb(11-34) and Woody Marks(10-27) were basically neck and neck for nothing on Sunday. The Broncos are also tough, and if CJ Stroud(concussion) sits this week, there should be enough to go around for both of them in flexes.

Vikings 27 @ Lions 24

TJ Hockenson found the endzone for just the 2nd time this season. His 3 targets on 48 of 62 snaps makes him an unreliable streamer for the most part, but he does have a cherry schedule coming up. He might be one to buy low on.

Jameson Williams(4-66-1) bounced back this week after an abysmal WK8 showing. He’s just as likely to bust as he is to boom these days, but his upcoming schedule is one of the better ones for WRs. He’s also someone to buy “low” on, and I think many owners will try to sell high on him this week.

Brown 13 @ Patriots 32

Rico Dowdle(25-130-2; 2-11) is going to sell a lot of jerseys in the Carolinas, as he’s carried the team to a winning record – Bryce Young had a 48.3 QB rating on Sunday. You can toy with Tet McMillan in your flex, but Dowdle is the only must start Panther.

It never fails. Tucker Kraft(ACL) is out for the season after going on a historic tear. Luke Musgrave will pick up the slack, but he’s not the beast that Kraft is. He’s still worth owning in most formats.

Christian Watson(2-58) didn’t have as good of a game as he did in WK8, but he was still 2nd in receiving behind Romeo Doubs. With Matthew Golden(shoulder) banged up, Watson should be in for more targets this week against Philly.

Jaguars 30 @ Raiders 29

Parker Washington(8-90) was the leading pass-catcher for the Jags, with Travis Hunter sidelined and Brian Thomas Jr. hobbled. Dyami Brown(3-25) did get 7 targets, but they didn’t yield much. Washington could be in store for another nice outing this week if Thomas can’t make it onto the field.

Bhaysul Tuten(9-29-1; 1- -3) had his 2nd best fantasy day on Sunday, despite playing fewer snaps than LeQuint Allen(1-10; 1-1). He matched his season high of 10 touches, but Tuten isn’t a viable option against the Texans this week.

Michael Mayer(3-26) still had 7 targets on the day, despite Brock Bowers(12-127-3) returning. That being said Bowers crushed his output, and Mayer isn’t an option against Denver this week.

Saints 10 @ Rams 44

Taysom Hill(4-30) led the Saints in rushing, despite Alvin Kamara(6-14; 1-3) playing a starter’s complement of snaps. The Rams are tops in the league against the run, but Kamara has been underwhelming for weeks now. He’s a middling option against Carolina this week, and it makes sense to take some stock in Devin Neal(3-11; 1-1).

Blake Corum(13-58) handled double-digit touches, but this was an artifact of the blowout game script. This is his 2nd double-digit touch game in a row, but his production hasn’t matched his opportunities enough to use him this week against San Fran.

Chiefs 21 @ Bills 28

Kareem Hunt(11-49-1; 1-6) took the lead with Isiah Pacheco(knee) out and was one of the few bright spots for the Chiefs on Sunday. KC has a bye this week, but Hunt is still worth a flex even if Pacheco returns in WK 11.

Keon Coleman(2-17) is technically the Bills’ no.1 WR, but he hasn’t topped 45 yards receiving since Week 1. Up against Miami’s top ranked WR defense this week, he needs to remain on benches or simply left unowned.
