Trashman’s Fantasy Fallout Heading Into Week 11
Trashman’s Fantasy Fallout Going Into Week 11 of the 2024 NFL Season
Another week, another amalgam of injuries and ill-fated fantasy outcomes. It wasn’t all bad news though, as we’ll discover in this week’s fallout…
Bengals – 34 @ Ravens – 35
- Mike Gesicki(4/30) had more targets(9), but Tanner Hudson(6/42/1) had a respectable 7 targets and the better day overall. It seems like the TEs are the preferred pass-catchers to secondary WRs when Tee Higgins is absent.
- Tylan Wallace(3/115/1) led the Ravens in receiving, but most of his yardage came on one 84 yard play. Wallace has yet to play more than 20 snaps this season and will likely remain a bit player in the Ravens offense.
- Rashod Bateman(6/54/1) had his highest catch total of the season on Thursday, with DIontae Johnson in the lineup. His upside is limited, considering the area of the field where gets most of his targets, but Bateman has a solid floor in PPR formats.
Giants – 17 @ Panthers – 20
- If there was any question as to whether Tyrone Tracy(19/104/1) had fully taken the bellcow role in the Giants backfield, it was answered on Sunday, as Tracy handled 19 touches to Devin Singletary’s(9/45) 9. Singletary will retain some standalone value if he maintains a touch total close to double digits, but he’s bench fodder unless something happens to Tracy.
- Ja’Tavion Sanders(2/8/1) is keeping himself in streaming consideration on a weekly basis, regardless of who is under center for Carolina. The Panthers have a cushy schedule coming out of the bye, as far as TEs are concerned, so keep him on your radar.
- Jalen Coker(3/41) led the Panthers in receiving on a team high 8 targets. Coker’s upside will be limited with Bryce Young under center, but he’s had a promising start to his NFL career thus far. He’s well worth the add in dynasty formats.
- It’s hard to predict his touches coming off a serious injury into a backfield headed up by newly re-signed Chuba Hubbard, but Jonathon Brooks should be added to rosters where he’s available. He’s in line to see his first action of the season coming out of the bye.
Steelers – 28 @ Commanders – 27
- Jaylen Warren(16/85) saw a season high in touches, but he still doesn’t see goal line action. Even with considerable touches on a weekly basis, his upside and value is limited outside of PPR formats.
- Mike Williams(1/32/1) made his one catch matter on Sunday, and his involvement will likely increase over the next few weeks. I’m apprehensive about the amount of offense this offense can generate from week to week, but Williams is worth an add in deeper leagues.
- Noah Brown(3/33) was 2nd in Washington targets behind Zach Ertz(4/31) who had 8.
Brown has had at least 6 targets in 4 of his last 5 games, and he’s had at least 58 yards in 3 of them. Washington does just enough to to win, or at least stay competitive every week, so Brown is more of a PPR streaming option.
49ers – 23 @ Buccaneers – 20
- Jauan Jennings(7/93) led the 49ers with 11 targets on the day. With Brandon Aiyuk lost for the season, Jennings is a strong start in most formats. He’s still available in 40% of leagues.
- Ricky Pearsall(4/73/1) had a solid outing as well, garnering 6 targets on the day. I don’t know if there’s enough offense to go around to keep him viable week to week, but Pearsall is a flex option this week against Seattle.
- Bucky Irving(13/73/1) led the Bucs backfield in carries, but Rachaad White(16/70/1) won the battle of touches. With the WR corps in shambles right now, both backs are viable on a weekly basis going into the bye.
Falcons – 17 @ Saints – 20
- Of course Marquez Valdes-Scantling(3/109/2) rears his head when we least expect it. I guess we should’ve seen it coming with so many injuries to the Saints’ WR corps, but it’s still a shock nonetheless. The fact that MVS only had 3 targets on the day is disconcerting, but only Alvin Kamara(22/109) had more(6). MVS is a speculative high upside boom or bust pickup this week.
Broncos – 14 @ Chiefs – 16
- Audric Estime(14/53) led the Broncos backfield, with Javonte Williams(3/6) only receiving one carry on the day. It was the Broncos plan to go pass heavy against the Chiefs’ top-rated run defense, but the lack of usage is troubling. In any case, Estime should be added in most formats.
- Devaughn Vele(4/39/1) saw his 2nd highest target(4) total this season on Sunday. He’s only been viable when the Broncos are facing a top 5 run defense, which won’t be the case this week when they face the Falcons.
- Xavier Worthy(1/11) is struggling to find his place in the KC offense, with DeAndre Hopkins in the fold now. He seemed to injure his shoulder at some point too, and with his recent struggles, Worthy is not an advised play against a top 5 Bills secondary this week.
Vikings – 12 @ Jaguars – 7
- It didn’t take long for TJ Hockenson(8/72) to return to a major role in the VIkings offense. The superstar TE’s 9 targets matched Justin Jefferson for the team lead, and he out gained all Vikings pass catchers. Jordan Addison’s(2/25) value is likely to take a hit, with both Hockenson and Josh Oliver(4/52) potentially commanding more targets.
- Cam Akers (14/47) had a healthy complement of touches in WK10, with Aaron Jones nursing a rib injury. In common Akers form, he did little with the opportunities. Even if the Vikings give Akers more run to rest Jones this week, I don’t like Akers in fantasy.
- After a strong start, Mac Jones(14/111/1/2) ultimately floundered in his first start as a Jaguar. Trevor Lawrence practiced in a limited capacity this past week, so there’s a solid chance he’s back under center in WK11. If not, Travis Etienne(12/43) and Evan Engram(6/40) make for the only startable Jags this week. Tank Bigsby tweaked his ankle on Sunday, so he’s shakier than usual going into WK11.
Bills – 30 @ Colts – 20
- Mack Hollins(4/86) made the most of his 4 targets, catching them all and leading the Bills in receiving. Both Khalil Shakir(6/58) and Curtis Samuel(4/35) had more targets, 9 and 8, but neither was able to really capitalize. Both Keon Coleman and Amari Cooper were absent, so we have to take this with a grain of salt, but Hollins appears to have a decent rapport with Josh Allen.
- All the starting Colts WRs ate with Michael Pittman(wrist/back) sitting on Sunday. Adonai Mitchell(6/71) even set new career highs in receptions and receiving yards. I’d say he’d be a solid streamer this week, but the Colts are playing the Jets, who have an even better secondary than the Bills. Even Alec Pierce(4/81/1) is a risky play given the matchup.
Patriots – 19 @ Bears – 3
- Kayshon Boutte(4/47) led the Pats in targets(6), marking the 3rd straight game in which he’s had 6 looks. The Pats have played the 3 top secondaries over that time, so perhaps he can turn those targets into significant yardage this week against the Rams’ malleable secondary. The same could be said of Austin Hooper(3/64), who’s had at least 4 targets in 3 of his last 4 games.
- Caleb Williams only managed 120 yards of passing offense on Sunday, limiting the upsides of his 3 key WRs. Things could get worse before they get better, as the Bears will face Green Bay’s top 10 QB defense this week. Williams took 9 sacks on Sunday, so cue up the Packers defense in fantasy.
Titans – 17 @ Chargers – 27
- Will Levis(18/175/2) finally managed to finish a game without throwing any picks. The Titans still lost, but I guess it’s an encouraging sign for Levis, if he’s to continue starting for Tennessee. His matchup this week with Minnesota is middling, but I can’t suggest that you play him in any format yet.
- Tyjae Spears(10/51) out gained Tony Pollard(13/63) on the ground, but with the Titans in the midst of a tough run of defenses, he’s best left to the deepest of leagues, as Pollard isn’t going anywhere.
- Gus Edwards(10/55) split carries with JK Dobbins(18/55) 10 to 15 and outgained him on the ground, after missing 5 games with an ankle injury. Kimani Vidal was a healthy scratch, so there goes his steam. Edwards isn’t an advised play against Cincy’s top 10 run defense this week.
- Quentin Johnston(2/24/1) was able to salvage his fantasy day with a TD grab, though he didn’t do much else. Will Dissly(5/30) was the only non RB to log more than 2 targets on the day. With back to back games with a TD now, Johnston is a decent flex at home against Cincy this week.
Eagles – 34 @ Cowboys – 6
- Will Shipley(9/34) had a season high in touches and yards on Sunday, but it was largely due to the blowout game script. He’s still only a hold in dynasty formats.
- Not much can be said in regards to the Cowboys, as they struggled mightily under Cooper Rush and Trey Lance. Dak Prescott is seeking a second opinion on whether he should have season ending hamstring surgery, but the outlook isn’t promising. All Cowboys skill players would take a considerable hit, if Prescott misses the rest of the season, though I would like to see Lance get some more chances to show what he can do.
Jets – 6 @ Cardinals – 31
- The Jets are all out of juice it seems, as Aaron Rodgers failed to throw a TD, after throwing at least 1 in all but 1 previous game this season. It would make sense to lean heavily on Breece Hall(14/83) and Braelon Allen(8/34) to take pressure off of Rodgers’ aging arm, but I’m not sure that will be the case moving forward. The Cardinals were a top 10 matchup for opposing QBs, so there’s no excuse for the Jets’ offensive performance.
- Trey Benson(12/87) is averaging double-digit touches over his last 2 contests, spelling James Conner(17/113/1) with success. The Cardinals have a bye this week, and I expect them to continue to ramp up Benson’s touches going into WK12.
Lions – 26 @ Texans – 23
- Jared Goff was trash, but the Lions still managed to pull this one out, as they are a complete team. Not one player outside of their starting 5 skill players had a target or touch, so there’s not much to do regarding waivers.
- John Metchie(5/74/1) led the Texans in receiving in a game they should’ve won. Nico Collins is likely to return in WK11, but Metchie could continue to carve out a role with no Stefon Diggs in the mix.

HELP!!!
Do I trade away Pearsall and JSN for Lamb in a 12-Team Standard? I got the offer but Dallas’ offense scares me!
My receivers are: AJ Brown, J. Jennings, G. Pickens, JSN, Pearsall
Think I would take the chance on CD
Quick question prior to the waiver. I have the number #2 waiver pick and currently 9-1 but I have no RB depth and Mason and Estime are available. Who if any would you prioritize?
Thanks RW.
Mason is back to basically being a handcuff and Estime has the chance to actually win a role without an injury, so if you need depth now, I’d take Estime but Mason is the higher upside stash CLEARLY if anything were to happen to CMC.
Thank you..
I got Waddle and Diontae Johnson sitting on m bench, for some reason, I can’t get the nerve to drop one or both of them. Am I dropping these guys for the likes of Estime, Calvin Ridley, Quentin Johnson. Am I suffering from rose coloured glass syndrome by holding on to them. I need somebody to just tell me what to do……..please for the love of god, tell me what to do. QB-Hurts, RBs Montgomery, Walker, Hunt, Charbonnet WR: Jefferson, D Adams, Waddle, Diontae Johnson. Only have 4 bench spots.
Cedric tillman, ETN, Dobbins, Estime, Chubb: Need 1RB/1FLEX for PPR
