Trashman’s Fantasy Fallout Heading Into Week 11

Trashman’s Fantasy Fallout Going Into Week 11 of the NFL Season

Another Sunday, another blast zone. Some stars popped, some lineups cratered, and somehow your opponent’s kicker scored 18. Let’s sweep the debris and set you up for Week 11. Here’s the fallout…

Raiders 7 @ Broncos 10

What a stinker. In just his second game with the Raiders, Tyler Lockett(5-44) paced the team in receiving. It wasn’t much, but it’s enough to warrant picking him up in most formats. Tre Tucker(2-28) is the no.1 WR de jure, but he has his lowest total since WK4. Both are intriguing flexes against Dallas and their pass funnel defense.

Troy Franklin(5-40-1) was the sole bright spot in the Denver passing game. Owned in 54% of leagues, he’s put together enough solid outings to warrant rostering him and playing him most weeks.

Falcons  25 @ Colts 31

Darnell Mooney(1-17) garnered as many targets(8) as Drake London(6-104-1) but managed to gain only a miniscule fraction of the yards. His targets are too low-yielding to start him.

Tyler Allgeier(11-57-2) had his best game of the season, scoring twice. He’s boom or bust these days, handling the ball only twice for 6 yards the previous week.

Alec Pierce(4-84-1) had his best game from a fantasy standpoint. The NFL’s leader in yards per catch has a bye this week, but it makes sense to own him regardless.

Browns 20  @ Jets 27

Do we have a Jerry Jeudy(6-78-1) sighting? The oft disappearing no.1 WR for the Browns led the team in receiving and had his highest fantasy total on the season. With one of the best schedules for WRs the rest of the way, it would behoove you to take a chance on him, or Cedric Tillman(2-11) for that matter.

It’s crazy to think how the Jets pulled this off with Breece Hall being their only non-QB player with more than 13 yards on the day, outside of a kickoff or punt. The Browns special teams coach needs to get canned.

Jaguars 29 @ Texans 36

Jakobi Meyers(3-41) stepped right into the mix to lead the Jags in receiving his first game there. Parker Washington(3-33-1) had more targets(7), but it’s encouraging to see if you’re a Meyers owner. Both are middling flexes against a good Chargers secondary this week.

How is Woody Marks only owned in 65% of leagues right now? Oh yeah, that piss poor WK9 showing. That aside, Marks has a soft schedule these next two weeks and should serve as a worthwhile flex.

Jayden Higgins(5-42-1) has bookended his turrible WK9 outing with another TD capped performance. He looks like the preferred no.2 to Christian Kirk(1-3).

Bills 13 @ Dolphins 30

Go figure, Keon Coleman(3-46-1) has his 2nd best fantasy day of the season against the league’s best secondary. He still only had 3 catches and is too boom or bust to start in any format really.

Jaylen Waddle(5-84-1) and De’Von Achane(22-174-2; 6-51) were the Dolphins’ offense in this one. They don’t really have any other fantasy relevant players, other than Malik Washington(2-9-1), who has a decent floor but little to no upside.

Patriots 28 @ Buccaneers 23

TreVeyon Henderson(14-147-2) had his coming out party, thanks in part to Terrell Jennings exiting the game with a knee injury. He’s a must start with arguably the best schedule for RBs ahead of him.

Mack Hollins(6-106) did his best Keyshon Boutte impression, leading the Pats in yards and catches. Kyle Williams(1-72-1) found the endzone on his lone catch, but it’s Hollins who you should start if Boutte can’t suit up this week.

Sean Tucker(9-53) led the Bucs’ backfield in ground yards, being out-touched by Rachaad White(10-38; 5-16) by only 1 carry. Here’s hoping Bucky Irving returns this week, so we don’t have to worry about either of those guys, but Tucker does have goal line preference to White and a soft matchup with Buffalo this week.

Tez Johnson(4-42-2) made the most of this looks, scoring twice on the day. He’s an exciting flex against the Bills this week in what should be a shootout.

Giants 20  @ Bears 24

Jaxson Dart is concussed, meaning that it’s more than likely that Russell Wilson will be under center against the Packers this week. Downgrade deep threat Darius Slayton(4-89) in this matchup.

TE Theo Johnson(7-75) should stay involved even if Wilson starts and is unowned in 58% of leagues.

Devin Singletary(8-20; 3-53) touched the ball 11 times to Tyrone Tracy’s(14-71; 1-0) 15 touches. With a stout Packers front up next and stouter fronts the following 2 weeks, Singletary is only an option for the worst circumstances.

Kyle Monangai(7-26-1) had the score, but D’Andre Swift(13-80; 5-18) reasserted himself as the lead back in Chicago. Swift is the preferred option this week, but Monangai is still fle-worthy.

Ravens 27 @ Vikings 19

Mark Andrews(3-14-1) managed to score, but Isaiah Likely(2-17) matched him in targets(5). Either player is going to limit the other’s upside in this low-volume passing offense.

Jalen Nailor(5-124-1) had the best game of his career, leading the Vikings in receiving. It’s unlikely he’ll repeat the effort again this week, but there are worse stabs you could take, with the Vikings facing the Bears’ 2nd worst secondary this week.

Saints 17 @ Panthers 7

Juwan Johnson(4-92-1) had his best game of the season with rookie Tyler Shough under center, which is encouraging. The Saints have a bye this week, but Johnson needs to be picked up if he’s been dropped in your leagues, and he has been in over half of them.

It’s official. Chuba Hubbard(3-14; 1-1) is an afterthought in the Panthers’ offense. He’ll need an injury to Rico Dowdle(18-53-1; 3-10) to regain fantasy relevance.

Cardinals 22 @ Seahawks 44

Bam Knight(10-28; 1-5) led the backfield in touches, but Emari Demercado(4-64; 3-40) was the most effective ball carrier for Arizona. Knight is dealing with an ankle injury this week too, so my bets on Demercado to lead the way against San Fran this week.

Rashid Shaheed(1-3; 2-20) only had one catch, but he ran routes on 10 of Sam Darnold’s dropbacks before the Seahawks ran away with this one. Cooper Kupp(2-74) had one of his better outings, but he only had 2 targets on the day. With Seattle’s backfield running so well, it’s going to be hard to predict who is going to pop behind JSN(5-93-1) in the WR corps.

Zach Charbonnet(14-83-1) and Ken Walker(14-67; 1-3) split carries, but Charbonnet found the endzone for the 4th time in 6 games. Walker hasn’t scored on the ground since WK3, and is the less preferred option against the Rams’ top rushing defense this week. No need to pay mind to George Holani’s(7-31-1) line in the blowout.

Lions 44 @ Commanders 22

I wonder if the Lions will remember that Jameson Williams(6-119-1) is one of the premier talents in the league for any length of time now. Dan Campbell took over play-calling duties, so maybe so.

This conservative Commanders offense only really works in the hands of Jayden Daniels, the master of efficiency. Marcus Mariota(16-213-2; 5-22) is a passable streamer thanks to this week’s matchup with Miami though. They’re terrible for WRs but actually a safe play for QBs.

I guess it should be mentioned that Treylon Burks(3-58) led the Commanders in receiving, after being signed to the active roster ahead of the game. He’s only an emergency option against Miami this week.

Rams 42 @ 49ers 26

Colby Parkinson(4-41-1) Had a fine line, but he’s only had more than 2 targets in one other game this season. He’s not an option.

Blake Corum(13-56) had double-digit touches for the 3rd straight game, but he doesn’t get goal line opportunities – He’s only scored once this season. He gets touches in games that the Rams roll in, but with LA facing Seattle this week, Corum is best left on benches.

Brian Robinson(8-41-1; 1-4) led San Fran on the ground and scored in his 2nd straight game, as CMC(12-30; 8-66) struggled as a ball carrier. Robinson is a wretched option this week but one you might need to choose if you’re in dire straits.

Steelers – 10 @ Chargers – 25

Aaron Rodgers(16-161-1-2) was hot garbage on Sunday night, missing on everything that mattered. Fortunately for him, he faces a Cincy team this week that he tossed 4 TDs on in WK7. Calvin Austin(2-14) had little effect but he did tie for the team lead with 7 targets and could be a decent flex this week in deeper formats.

Kimani Vidal(25-95-1) regained some form on Sunday, out-touching Jaret Patterson(1-1) 26 to 1. Vidal is the unquestioned lead back in LA and is a solid start against Jacksonville this week.

Quentin Johnston(5-42) didn’t post WR1 numbers but he did get no.1 WR targets(10). He’s a suitable flex this week against the Jaguars.

  1. I have Jayden Daniels on IR, should I swap Daniels out for Joe Burrow? Thoughts? Thanks

    1. At this time, I don’t really know/understand exactly how they are going to handle Daniels, if you have a feel for that and think he will not be back by Thanksgiving week, it does feel like Burrow really wants to be back for that game, but you’d have 2 games to navigate in the meantime. I wish I had a clear answer, but Daniels’ situation just seems so murky and I don’t have a good feel for it myself until we get some new info

  2. Should I drop Kyle Pitts to hang on to Brenton Strange coming off IR?
