Trashman’s Garbage Grab Bag: Week 12

Trashman’s Garbage Grab Bag: Week 12

Some dumpster darlings for your consideration in this Week 12 of the NFL season.

Quarterback
Jeff Driskel, Lions: Driskel hs been a fantasy asset his first two games, throwing over 200 yards in both and running over 50 in his last game. He shouldn’t have much trouble putting up fantasy points against Washington’s lousy defense.

Runing Back

Frank Gore, Bills: Two reasons why I like Gore this week: One, Devin Singletary fumbled twice last week. Two, Gore only needs 45 yards to tie Barry Sanders for 3rd on the all-time rushing list. Oh, and it’s easier to run against Denver than to throw.

Raheem Mostert, 49ers: Mostert will backup Tevin Coleman in the leagues’ most run heavy offense. He didn’t do much in the same role last week, but neither did Coleman. Green Bay is much easier to run against then pass.

Rex Burkhead, Patriots: With so many receivers injured for New England, I expect to see a heavy dose of James White and Burkead in the short passing game, especially with Leighton Vander Esch out for the Cowboys.

Wide Receiver

Randall Cobb, Cowboys: With news that the Patriots intend on bracketing Amari Cooper, and siccing Stephen Gilmore on Michael Gallup, Cobb is going to get opportunities underneath. He’s been feasting as of late.

Hunter Renfrow, Raiders: Renfrow gets a sorry Jets team to rack up targets against. He’s more of a PPR special though.

N’Keal Harry. Patriots: Harry should be in all 3-wide sets for the Patriots on Sunday. He’s a beast who stands a really good chance to score. You should own him anyway, even if you don’t play him this week.

Taylor Gabriel, Bears: With 50+ yards or a TD in his last 4 games, Gabriel makes for a deep league, high floor flex against the Giants this week.

Russell Gage, Falcons: Gage is the 3rd option against a Tampa Bay team that gives up the most points to WRs in the league.

Tight End

Cameron Brate, Buccaneers: With O.J. Howard going to the doghouse last week, Brate garnered a whopping 14 targets last week. He’s worth a shot if he gets half that many looks this week, which is probable in what could be a shootout with Atlanta.

  1. Should I take a chance and roll with Kittle tonight or grab Hollister or Everett off waivers?

Kittle is expected to play. So you should be ok.. You may want to get Everett if you can since he plays Monday night just in case.

So I’m starting the Bills Def against DEN, and I have Phillip Lindsay and Courtland Sutton on my team.

Have an RB spot and flex spot to fill. Who would you fill these with?

    Lindsay
    Sutton
    Jaylen Samuels
    Deebo Samuel

    Thanks!

      1/2 ppr too

I think you should play the two RB’s simply due to opportunity. Some are saying that it could be a Snell game but Snell sucks compared to Samuels. You just have to hope he doesn’t swindle the TD. If you want one of the WR, I lean Deebo.

  3. Flex Q — Hunt or Samuels? Both have similar roles pass catching roles. I am leaning towards Hunt (break-out game?) over Samuels. And I have Chubb so it would be a make or break day in Cleve. What’s your view? Thanks

Samuels is still the starting RB in Pitt. I roll him over Hunt. Both have strong matchups.

      1. No worries, I stuck with Hunt!

  4. Thinking of playing Benny Snell over Singletary in PPR league? Thoughts…..

Singletary >> Snell. Samuels is the lead so you’re banking on the TD and/or garbage time. I would roll Singletary at home.

    Josh Allen or Carson Wentz??

Go Wentz. Even with the injuries, I like that match up against Seattle.
