Trashman’s Garbage Grab Bag: Week 14

Hopefully you don’t need these guys for the first week of playoffs, but just in case….

 

 

Tight End

 

Vance McDonald, Steelers: The Cardinals are the worst team in the league at covering TEs. If there’s a week to play McDonald it’s this one.

 

Tyler Higbee, Rams: Higbee teed off last week, and Goff knows he’s got a solid pass catcher underneath, so he doesn’t have to get exposed trying to throw the ball downfield. 

 

Kaden Smith, Giants: Evan Engram is still out and so is Rhett Ellison. Smith will be on the field for every offensive snap.

 

Wide Receiver

 

James Washington, Steelers: Washington has 90+ yards and a score in 3 of his last 4 games. The former Biletnikoff winner should have a field day against Arizona.

 

Zach Pascal, Colts: Parris Campbell is an option too, but Pascal has been on the field a lot more recently, so I feel like he’s the safer play. No Hilton, Ebron or Rogers makes him an easy high floor streamer.

 

Darius Slayton, Giants: I’ll go out on a limb and say Slayton is going to be a star in the league. I thought so during the draft process. He’ll get open easily against Philly.

 

Running Back

 

Patrick Laird, Dolphins: I actually think Myles Gaskin should be the guy getting more run, but Miami is intrigued by the athletic Laird and his legendary 3-cone drill. His use in the passing game gives him an extra bump in PPR. 

 

Darwin Thompson, Chiefs: Thompson was the guy for KC last week. Why not give him a shot now? 

 

Bilal Powell, Jets: No Le’Veon Bell, and Ty Montgomery isn’t the guy according to our sources in New York. 

 

Quarterback

 

Devlin Hodges, Steelers: Everybody gets a pass against the Cardinals.

    If Jacobs doesn’t or, or even if he tries to give it a go, should I roll with Snell or Golden Tate in the flex over Richard or Washington? PPR

    Josh Allen v Baltimore or Fitzpatrick v Jets

    Need 3 from Dalvin/Mattison, Snell, Hunt, Powell, Miles Sanders, John Brown

    Currently have Fitzpatrick, Dalvin, Powell and Sanders in to go with Devonta, Evans, Golliday and Waller.
