Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 13

It’s Week 13, and things are getting dicey on the waiver wire. I’ve compiled a list of guys who are likely to be available and  have a strong shot at helping you get into the playoffs this week.

Robert Woods WR, Bills: Woods blew up against the Jets last Monday, and though I wouldn’t usually ride his wave two weeks in a row, Watkins should draw Joe Haden’s attention, leaving Woods to get open more often than not.

Jarvis Landry WR, Dolphins: Landry is by no means a garbage pick, but he’s still owned in just over 35% of leagues. He needs to be owned in all PPR leagues, and all but the shallowest of standard leagues.

Tim Wright TE, Patriots: Wright’s been hit or miss all season, but this week’s matchup with the Packers is sure to be a high scoring affair in which I’d like to have any piece of the action.

Charles Johnson WR, Vikings: I had high hopes for Johnson when he was in Cleveland as an early season replacement for Josh Gordon. It didn’t work out for Johnson there, but he’s found a nice niche in Minnesota. He’s a rangy receiver with great speed, and I like his prospects from here on out.

Boobie Dixon RB, Bills: Dixon is no prize, but 20 snaps is 20 snaps. He’s worth a gamble in deeper leagues.

James Jones WR, Raiders: The Rams can be thrown on and Jones is racking up targets though it doesn’t always show. He’s a good bet to have a solid game this week.

Eddie Royal WR, Chargers: Royal has a tasty matchup with a Ravens defense that is giving up the second most points to WRs this season. As long as Rivers keeps his cool, Royal should have one of his feasts.

Joe Banyard RB, Vikings: The Vikings backfield is kind of a crapshoot right now with McKinnon out for week 13, and even though Ben Tate is there now, Banyard led the backfield last week and is the best bet to do so again against a beatable Panthers defense.

Donte Moncrief WR, Colts: Earlier in the week I said that now is the time to pick up Moncrief, and Washington’s secondary poses little threat to Andrew Luck and Co. He’s obviously the Colt’s second best receiver.

Harry Douglas WR, Falcons: Douglas may have the best chance to make hay against the now stout Arizona secondary as Jones is facing Peterson and White is hobbled. Don’t be surprised if Douglas goes big on Sunday.

Jacob Tamme TE, Broncos: Don’t expect the world of Tamme, but he could easily come down with a TD as Julius Thomas is questionable to play.
