Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 15
Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 15
Dorian “The Trashman” Colbert, RosterWatch.com
By Request, a week 15 Garbage Grab. Some people can’t help but get trashy… even in the playoffs.
Rishard Matthews WR, Dolphins: Matthews is questionable, but if he plays he’ll be in the mix as a WR3. San Diego’s pass defense has lightened up over the course of the season.
Markus Wheaton WR, Steelers: Wheaton has had 6+ targets over his last 3 games, and it’s this kind of tough matchup with the Broncos that suits his dinky, slippery style. Look for Big Ben to dump off to Wheaton and Heath Miller under pressure from that brutal Denver D.
Heath Miller: See above
Cecil Shorts WR, Texans: Look for all Texans WRs to have a field day with the Colts’ nothing defense, but I like Shorts’ big play ability over the likes of Nasty Nate Washington.
Robert Woods WR, Bills: Woods had his first 100+ yd game of the season last week, and he should get a significant number of targets this week with Charles Clay sidelined against a beatable Washington secondary.
Dontrelle Inman WR, Chargers: Inman is starting and looks like the healthiest pass catcher in San Diego. He’s a better PPR play this week, but he could do some damage in all formats.
Theo Riddick RB, Lions: In a game that suits his fast paced style, Riddick is your best bet in the Lions backfield this week. He could be PPR gold against the Saints.
Fozzy Whittaker / Mike Tolbert RB, Panthers: Whittaker for PPR and Tolbert for standard leagues. Iron Mike is the best bet for a TD, but Whittaker should catch a few passes. Cameron Artis-Payne will get what’s left I imagine.
Bishop Sankey RB, Titans: Sankey stinks, but the absence of McCluster makes him viable in the passing game in a matchup that should leave the Titans playing catchup for much of the time. He only works if they get down big, but Brady and co. will do their best to make it so.
Zach Miller TE, Bears: Miller looks like the no.2 pass catching option in Chicago even with Eddie Royal back in the mix. He’s a TE1 during the playoffs.
Eric Ebron TE, Lions: Ebron will benefit from the absence of Brandon Pettigrew and the best TE matchup on the season in the Saints. Add in Mega’s bum ankle, and Ebron is a TE1 this week.
Smith, Alex, QB, Chiefs: Smith has been on a tear recently, moving the ball on the ground when he can’t find options in the air. He should be able to do both against a hapless Ravens D this week.
T.J. Yates, QB, Texans: Yates went big in his lone start on the season, throwing 2 TDs and no picks versus the Jets. He should have an even easier time against the Colts who have been doormats for the past few weeks.
