Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 7

Trashman Header                                             Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 7

It’s a rough week, but that won’t stop the trashiest of fantasy owners from dumpster diving through the dregs of the waiver wire to find some slightly blemished goods…

Runningback

Frank Gore, Jets

Gore isn’t an exciting play by any means, but pickings are slim at the RB position these days. He’ll face a Bills defense that defends the pass better historically but isn’t any slouch against the run. If you can’t get Gore, rookie La’Mical Perine is a low floor deep league flex.

JaMychal Hasty, 49ers

Hasty could end up seeing quite a bit of run in Week 7, especially if Jeff Wilson doesn’t end up suiting up. He and Jerrick McKinnon would be a one-two punch, with Hasty likely to see the goal line carries.

Wide Receiver

Tim Patrick, Broncos

K.J. Hamler and Noah Fant are back, but the Broncos are going to need all the arsenal they can muster to hang with K.C. Patrick has had 2 straight 100 games, and Drew Lock seems to like him. He’s worth a shot.

Corey Davis, Titans

Davis is finally back, after a 2-week hiatus, to take his rightful place as the no.2 WR for the Titans. The Steelers are good, but they don’t cover the pass that well. Davis will have his chances.

Tre’Quan Smith, Saints

No Michael Thomas means Smith is once again a viable fantasy commodity. The Panthers have tight pass defense, but Smith should see enough targets to make it worth your while.

Tight End

Darren Fells, Texans

Jordan Akins did not practice Friday, so it looks like Fells could be in line for more red-zone looks, and red-zone looks are what we’re depending on from him. His floor is low, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Fells scores for the 3rd straight week.

Quarterback

Kyle Allen, Washington

Allen is no Joe Montana, but he’s been playing well for a Washington QB, and this week he gets the pitiful Dallas secondary to punish through the air. He’s a certified streamer this week.

  1. Need to start 2 out of these 3.

    Odell, Allen Robinson, Robbie Anderson?

    Thanks!

Go with the rankings! They are recently updated!

  3. If Aaron Jones plays is he in the line up if we don’t have a viable backup? I would be replacing him Shenault or Joshua Kelley in a 1ppr.

    1. I’d be extremely worried that if he plays after a GTD status, that he could be active only as an emergency back. I’d stay tuned for updates there. Kelley is a good fall back.

  5. Do you think it would be wise for me to play Tim Patrick over juju? Ppr 12man
If so, who would you drop for Tim Patrick
Shenault, moss, Damien Harris or Akers?
Also someone dropped jk dobbins, do you think it’s worth picking him up and dropping one of the above guys as well?

    1. I’d still go JJSS over Patric. I think it would be fine to drop Moss for JKD

    Hunter Henry or Jonnu Smith?

Feeling like the Chargers/Jags game could be pretty slow-paced and light on passing attempts. Tannehill seeks out Smith.

    Morning All
So the rankings are not my friend on RB..for sure.
I have a non PPR league…5 and 1…so still good. I find myself with lots of second guessing like right now.
Is there a better way for me to use the ranking sheet?
Gordon, Gibson, Gurley, Kelly….then Boyd wr….going gibson, Gurley, boyd…but got good 5 minutes to change..lol
    Thanks as always

  20. ROS….

    Hasty or Lindsey.m

    Thanks

Things change week to week, especially this year but Lindsay the better bet. Tevin Coleman about to come back and muck up the SF backfield.

      1. Thanks Alan,

I didn’t mean for you to answer this twice.

        I appreciate your help.

  21. I’ve been struggling a lot at TE (like everyone) Someone dropped Gesicki over byes… Would to be too cockamamie to drop Mark Ingram for him tonight? Then use my waiver priority and dump Fells to pick up someone like Hasty, Goedert, Perine?

RB: Taylor, Sanders/Scott, Dobbins, Moss, Coleman, Chubb
    Non-ppr

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Mark Ingram is not a must hold by any means. I’d drop him to pickup a player of need.
