Trashman’s Week 12 Garbage Grab
Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 12
Another week, another batch of baleful waiver bums to sift through. Fortunately, I’ve done most of the heavy lifting. Here’s the grab…
Running Back
Chase Edmonds, Buccaneers – 4% rostered
Rachaad White has been downgraded to questionable on a Saturday, which isn’t good news for his owners. Chase Edmonds was the only other back to touch the ball in WK11 other than White, so there’s a good chance he’s the first back up if White doesn’t go. Even if he does, White won’t be 100%, so Edmonds could still get enough action to make him worth your while.
Wide Receivers
Khalil Shakir- 17% rostered
Shakir went gangbusters last week, picking up 115 yards and a score in WK11 against a tough Jets secondary. This week, he gets arguably the softest secondary in the league in the Eagles. The Bills will need all hands on deck and they won’t have much success running, so Shakir and co. will be of use.
Justin Watson, Chiefs – 4% rostered
Something clicked for Watson and Patrick Mahomes last week, with Watson catching 5 of 11 targets for 53 yards and a TD. With Rashee Rice kind of plateauing over the past few weeks, maybe it’s Watson’s turn to take the lead of the WR corps.
Greg Dortch – 1% rostered
Dortch surprisingly led the Cardinals in receiving in WK11. Marquise Brown didn’t practice Friday and is questionable to play this week, and Michael Wilson is out with a shoulder injury, so that just puts Dortch in an even better position to thrive this week against a middling Rams secondary.
Tight End
Cade Otton – 28% rostered
Otton led the Bucs in yardage(49 yards) last week and 2 weeks prior he caught 2 scores. If nothing else, he’s a primary cog in the Bucs offense right now. His opponent this week, the Colts, will be his best matchup since that 2 score week.
Quarterback
Gardner Minshew – 16% rostered
Minshew hasn’t lit up the box score in weeks, but he’s coming off a bye into the best matchup he’s had this season in the Bucs. With his not so secret weapon Josh Downs back at his disposal, all signs are pointing to Minshew bouncing back this week.
