Trashman’s Week 14 Garbage Grab

The playoffs are on the line this week, and though I hope you have better options, your reality might dictate digging around for some waiver relief. Here’s the grab…

Running Back

Jerick McKinnon, Chiefs – 35% rostered

With Isiah Pacheco out and maybe heading to IR, it’s probably a good time to grab McKinnon, who will play a passing down role to Clyde Edward-Helaire’s 2 down role. The matchup is right, against a Bills team that hasn’t been doing its job on defense.

Wide Receivers

Jalin Hyatt, Giants- 6% rostered

Hyatt went nuts in WK12, racking up 109 yards on 5 targets against a middling Pats secondary. He’ll have a tough go of it this week against the Packers, but Hyatt still possesses game breaking upside, and QB Tommy DeVito isn’t afraid to let ‘er rip downfield.

Jonathan Mingo, Panthers- 17% rostered

Mingo has evolved into the Panthers de facto no.1 WR in recent weeks. The oversized receiver is averaging 8 targets over his last 4 games, and though he’ll need a score to really pop, he’s a decent flex in PPR formats.

Parker Washington, Jaguars – 4% rostered

Washington is the Jags’ starting slot WR, now that Christian Kirk is on IR, and he’ll come in handy as QB Trevor Lawrence avoids turning the ball over to the Browns’ capable corners. A PPR special, Washington has the potential to buoy teams with WR gaps through the playoffs.

Tight End

Brevin Jordan, Titans – 16% rostered

Jordan gets another start this week against the Jets, who’ve allowed the most TDs to TEs this season(7). I’d like any piece of CJ Stroud’s offense, and Jordan makes for a productive one.

Quarterback

Jake Browning, Bengals – 26% rostered

Browning is playing impeccable football, as of WK13, and why shouldn’t he with the weapons at his disposal? The Colts have a better defense than the Jags, last week’s opponent, but they’re still middle of the pack at best.

  3. In a bit of a moral dilemma.
I have clinched a 1st round bye (NATION!)
This week I’m playing the team(A) currently in 1st in the other division. If I win, they will drop and not get the bye. If i throw it, they will.
The team(B) that would get the bye if I win this week looks much stronger than the former(A).

Throw it? or let it play as it should?

I’m okay with throwing it, as-long as it’s no blatant to the league that can get you in trouble lol, in fantasy football and the NFL… wild shit happens every week. You will eventually have to beat him regardless

  4. Which RB should I pickup in a PPR: Edwards-Helaire or McKinnon?

    1. Post By Cody Carpentier

      CEH

  5. PPR League:
    1 RB: McKinnon or K.Mitchell?
1 WR: Zay Jones or C.Kupp?

    1. Post By Cody Carpentier

      – Mitchell
      – Kupp, I think Zay fares well in the Target department today. But I need wins this week and Kupp will be in the lineup and he had 8 targets, 1 TD last week as ugly as it’s been

  6. Good morning RW,

If Geno Smith sits today would you play Jayden Reed over DK?
    Thanks

Yes, I am okay with that.

  7. Trashman, Taysom Hill is out. I’ll take a flyer on Brevin Jordan. Thank you and good luck.
    Best Wishes,
    Mike

      Good luck today, Mike!

      1. Cody, I made the playoffs! Thank you for all your help.
I had the dreaded 2nd most points against–missing out on that dubious distinction by 10 points.
