Trashman’s Week 2 Garbage Grab

Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 2
Hopefully you locked and loaded Kyren Williams based off last week’s grab. If not, you may get a second chance at greatness with this week’s trashy treasures…

Running Back
Roschon Johnson – 6% rostered
D’Onta Foreman is a healthy scratch.

Chuba Hubbard, Panthers – 17% rostered
Hubbard had the Panthers longest offensive play of the day in WK1, a 21 yard run. He ended the day with 11 touches for 69 yards, and Carolina will need all the help it can get to move the ball against New Orleans this week, so he’s in line for double digit touches again.

Wide Receivers
Michael Gallup, Cowboys – 24% rostered
Brandin Cooks is likely out, meaning Gallup is figuratively in in fantasy. He only had 2 targets in WK1, but the Cowboys offense didn’t need his or really anyone’s help their drubbing of the Giants in WK1. The no.2 WR du jour for Dallas this week, Gallup is well worth starting.

Tutu Atwell, Rams – 22% rostered
Puka Nacua is the new hotness in LA, but Atwell was no slouch in WK1, catching 6 of 8 targets for 119 yards. Nakua is questionable to go, and probably won’t be 100% if he does, so Atwell could get some extra looks.

Allen Robinson II, Steelers – 12% rostered
I know, it’s Allen Robinson, but Diontae Johnson is out and Robinson actually led the Steelers in receiving yards(64) in WK1. The juice may be worth the squeeze.

Tight End
Luke Musgrave, Packers – 24% rostered
Musgrave led the Packers in receiving yards(50) in WK1, and he faces the 2nd best matchup for TEs in WK2, the Falcons. It’s only rookie season, but Musgrave can break that trend for TEs to take a few years to pop as he’s a vital aspect of a young QB’s target options. He should be owned in your league, anyway.

Logan Thomas, Commanders, – 3% rostered
Thomas is a bit long in the tooth at 32, but the seasoned vet led the Commanders in targets(8) in WK1, and could be in for another high volume day against the Broncos as Sam Howell’s safety blanket. The matchup isn’t particularly favorable, but necessity will demand his involvement.

Quarterback
Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers – 14% rostered
I wince a little when writing this, but Mayfield had a 2 TD outing in WK1, and more importantly no turnovers. He gets to air it out at home this week against a woeful Bears defense that got lit up by Jordan Love and the Packers in WK1.

  1. Leaning Gibbs over Ken Walker in 10-team .5 PPR.

    Buying the Gibbs workload. Concerns?
